Impeachment: Fayose sends royal fathers to beg Tinubu

Embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has sent two first class traditional rulers to meet the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sources close to Irohinodua hinted that the traditional rulers who left Ekiti State this morning were mandated to meet with the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu who is expected to lead them to the former Lagos Governor whose political tactics continue to overwhelm the nation. The governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko was said to have met with Asiwaju few days before the election pleading with him to forget and forgive his misdeeds having seen the inevitable failure of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) at the March 28 election. But it was too late.
“We are on a peace mission. Governor Fayose has asked us to meet with Oba Akiolu who should open the door for us to see Asiwaju Tinubu. We know there are moves to impeach the governor, our role as traditional rulers is the look for a constructive way to end the crisis. If the Governor will be impeached, we do not want him to be disgraced again for the second time in office”, one of the the first class traditional ruler told our correspondent on Sunday.
The royal fathers are currently being lodged at a high-rate hotel in down town Lagos and are expected to meet with Oba of Lagos later today who will take them to Tinubu later in the night.
The royal father who pleaded anonymity said the governor ‘is not arrogant. He has been misunderstood. We agree he made some mistakes, but there should be forgiveness and then Ekiti can move forward.” When asked if their mission was to stop the impeachment, he said: “We want a peaceful resolution of the crisis. We want Asiwaju to intervene and give Fayose a save landing.”
Mr Fayose was on Friday served with impeachment notice by the 19 legitimate lawmakers who want him to respond to allegations of gross misconduct within the next seven days. Reliable sources told Irohinodua that President Goodluck Jonathan is not interested in Ekiti State any longer.
“The President has achieved a landmark when he congratulated the APC Presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari. He does not want to see any other thing that will cancel this goodwill,” a source at the Presidency told Irohinodua this evening. The source said that President Jonathan actually holds the view that Fayose’s recklessness and tactless political moves were partly responsible for his failure at the national leve

When did you join the TANoids who lift news from facebook? This happened to be second time in two days you pulled news from facebook.

Don't stoop so low like the TANoids and PDP did to campaign for Jonathan.

This one has nothing to do with begging. We are in the business of Sanitizing our Polity. People who publish the Obituary of others unprovoked should take responsibility for their actions.

The impeachable allegations against Fayose is purely a constitutional matter. We will come that of his Obituary. That one, a public apology published in those same newspaper will be demanded.

Imagine what would have happened if Jonathan bribed his way through? TANiods would not stop till all our NL Accounts are deactivated.

When a person faces prosecution for killing a fellow being there is a probe to ascertain the ground for the killing.

If its willful and malicious - rage
If its premeditated and directed - targeted
If its reactive and defensive - provocation

Then judgement is given in respect,

Manslaughter
Murder
Accidental death

Finally, a sentence is ascribed under the penal code, respectively,

A specified term spent in prison
A life sentence or execution
A fine or probation.

Fayose calls his premeditated words and deeds "a mistake". Really!!!

Here is the truth....State Executives have immunity protected under the law. This makes him untouchable. If he looses the immunity through any statutory process, either an impeachment or a legal challenge to his electoral victory then his personal safety is at risk. He lives in Yorubaland, he has governed in Yorubaland and he is not stewpid.....he knows how his people settle political difference.

He did not only offend Yorubas, he offended others outside Yorubaland. Fayose is a disgrace and an embarassment to the Yoruba nation.

Tinubu should receive the emissaries sent from Ekiti and honor the Obas....he is going to need their help at a time in future, this is an important bridge that needs to be maintained and oiled......however, he must decline a go between for Fayose.

Fayose did not denigrate Tinubu through a go between.....he got on the air and spewed words. If he wants forgiveness he should redeem by acting directly, and not through soft channels of communication.

If i told you without showing pictures that Diezani and Orgar were at AbdulSalami's to retain him as their lobbyist for a pardon with incoming Buhari you likely would dismiss as a mere propaganda.

On missions like this people go undercover, and are aware of the risks. Sometimes the cover gets blown and we receive substantiated proof, like the pics of Diezani.

Other times the cover is not blown but the principals iin the mission will do what is called "feelers". They inject anecdotal informatiin into the air for media consumption. This voluntary leak is itself a soft landing in public opinion.

Count this fb information as a "feeler"!

The end is already here for Fayose. He knows it himself. He is finished politically.

His parrot ediotic mouth has led to his downfall and full disgrace. The same Jonathan he was busy licking his äss, now wants nothing to do with him again.

Fayose's exit will surely come. Those group of 18 legitimate lawmakers are bent on kicking him out before state Assembly elections.
