Thought of keeping mute concerning the issue of indigenous lagosians, but the way and manner some ignoramus reiterate "lagos is no man's land" is nauseating. Its only shallow thinkers, superficial beings, greedy people and bigots, who have this notion. If a deranged junkie spewed that out, doesn't mean its a fact.
In a likewise manner can that be said about kano, onitsha, port-harcourt, where all ethnic groups converge for businesses.
Likening the matter to a man who calls is neighbor to a meal, prepared in his own house, the neighbor then holds the owner's hand and says this food belongs to everyone.
If lagos is no man's land, then Niger deltans should stop ranting about "our oil", if lagos is NO man's land, tell that to the obi of onitsha, that a yoruba man should be his chief, if lagos is no man's land, then kano belongs to who , the igbos or urhobo ?.if lagos is no man's land then the igbos should present a hausa man as their king. The over indulgence enjoyed by non-indigenes of Lagos can not be accepted by any other ethnic group Elsewhere. The truth is we are all citizens of Nigeria at the same time indigenes of our different state respectively. We are one NIGERIA but belong to our respective states, though this sounds ambivalent concerning our unity, but its the fact.
IGBOS OWN THE SOUTH EAST, HAUSAS OWN THE CORE NORTH, YORUBAS OWN THE SOUTH WEST INCLUDING LAGOS.

Yorubas won't go to Rivers state and claim it's no man's land just because they accommodated you and allowed your business to thrive.

that has always been the problem of the igbos... wherever u find them they always wanna claim dominance of the place n it people. .. if thr feel there r the maker of cities I wonder why thr r yet to transform the east to lagos, kano or even Port Harcourt. .. ndigbo kwenu abeg make una park well jor.. joke of the year was that igbos constitute 40% of voters in kano then I realised kano is as small as bayelsa.. smh

One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh;but one good thing the earth abideth forever!
If our ancestors worked thus for our unity, who is the one inviting their curse,by sowing seed of disintergration?
Then get ready, set your house in order and wait without long, for they shall really visit even without your house address.

Lagos is a no man's land because it was the formar capital of Nigeria developed by the Niger Delta Oil. If Lagos was not a former capital what makes you think it's going to be any different from the famous brown roof Ibadan (the SW capital city ).

Igbos don't claim Lagos just because they are landowners we say so because it was built with federal government money.

As long we remain one Nigeria, Abuja and Lagos will remain a no man's f*cking land.

It is Lagos Island (Marina, Lagos Island) which is less than 1% of the landmass of the entire Lagos State
that was the administrative capital or Federal Capital of Nigeria from 1906-1991.

However, with the creation of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja in 1976, "Lagos Island" ceased to be the
capital of the State which was moved to Ikeja. Equally, with the formal relocation of the seat of the Federal
Government to Abuja on 12 December 1991, Lagos Island ceased to be Nigeria's political capital.

Lagos State wasn't the capital of Nigeria!

There is a big difference between Lagos Island [Lagos for short or Eko in Yoruba, which is an Island town just like Bonny Island (or Bonny for short)], and Lagos State which is NOT a noman's land because the whole of Lagos State is owned by 3 sub-ethnic groups related to the Yoruba namely the Aworis who own or are indigenes of 17 LGAs out of 20 LGAs in Lagos State, the Ijebus who own the whole of
of Epe, Ikorodu, and Lekki LGAs, and Ogus/Aworis of Badagry LGA.

These 3 sub-ethnic groups are the original indigenes of Lagos State which General Yakubu . Gowon created for them
on May 27, 1967 along with 11 other new states.

Even the British Colonialists clearly stated in there official documents and historical books that Lagos Island is a
Yoruba town and it has always been so. The British never said Lagos Island which served as the British admin capital
is a noman's - land just as Calabar, the former capital of Southern Nigeria [before Lagos Island became the capital]
also has real indigenes (the Efik, the Efut and the Qua).

Ibos must desist from insulting the Yoruba by refering to Lagos State as a nobody's land or that oil money built it.

Do other states in Iboland and Nigeria not get oil money from the Federation account like Lagos does? Please let
the indigenes of Lagos State enjoy their state without this overbearing attitude from some Ibos. Even a lot of Ibos had to
relocate themselves and their families to other states outside iboland - such as Lagos State, Abuja as a result
of the criminality and kidnapping of people for ransom!

Can someone post a pie-chart or a histogram illustrating Lagos population according to ethnic groups.

No matter the extent of the perceived provocation from some Igbo people in Lagos, no single individual will be thrown in the lagoon. Yoruba APC politicians can not afford to have their economic powerhouse become the ground zero of a major Nigerian tribal crisis.

Such a situation will also be catastrophic for the president-elect, his sponsors, party and supporters because anarchy will rule the country and calls for secession and a military takeover could be unavoidable.

Lagos state is a SW Yoruba state. Any non-indegene is a foreigner and all are subject to the rules and regulations of Yoruba society.

That Lagos is a Yoruba State is not going to change anytime soon.

Did Arthur Eze threaten the Yoruba people? Did he incite his Igbo nation against the yoruba tribe?
