PDP in Lagos state says that the 48-hour silence of Governor Fashola since the Oba of Lagos made death threats to Igbos indicates that not only is Fashola in agreement with what the Oba said, but that the Oba spoke on behalf of the state government. In a statement released today, the party demanded for the suspension of the Oba until after the elections. The statement reads in part; “The governor is thus a conspirator in this threat to life and must also be held accountable for any violence in this elections. We have at this point been vindicated about the desperation of the APC to retain Lagos state at all cost including the All Progressives Congress’ plan not to concede the imminent defeat on April 11. The positions of the PDP are coming on the heels of the now viral threat issued by the Oba of Lagos to Igbos that they must vote for the APC Governorship Candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or be drowned in Lagos water.” |

Fasholas policies and gutter utterances started this madness. Without any provocation he sstarted lacing his diatribes with subtle anti igbo rants that reeks of fear, jealousy and greed. If he is not telling folks to go back to their villages, he was actually deporting Nigerians inside Nigeria, increasing ethnic tensions while infuriating a significant segment of the Lagos society. Fashola should be held responsible for creating and enabling an atmosphere of hate and segregation in a hitherto peacefull Lagos giving royal lunatics like one Akiolu the impetus to dance unclad in the market place. The problems you lot have is not really the igbo. It is his guts, his drive, his upward moving culture, his 'manchôns', V boots and his 'kontenasí'. Essentially, you can't stand his gra-gra. How can he come here last year with just his Ghana must go bag , but will go home this christmass with a car?! How dare he!? It is the Kigali mentality. |
