A Justice of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos, C J Aneke, has granted an order of interim injunction restraining Multichoice from enforcing its planned increase in cost of the different classes of viewing of its pay TV, DSTV.
MultiChoice, owners of DStv and GOtv, had announced a 20 percent price increase for all its satellite pay TV bouquets in Nigeria to take effect from April 1, 2015. According to them, the annual price increase, usually in-line with inflation, is necessary for it to continue offering the best in local and international entertainment to its subscribers.

That is to tell you they are enjoying a great deal of monopoly. It is a pity that it is the masses that suffer the poor developmental structure in this country. Is Nigeria not big enough to have a satellite tv channels that can break this monopoly?

why are they even increasing the fees when they haven't resolved the hanging issues that disturbs network wen it rains....

even the whole lengthy loading is still happening. that sh*t made me miss half of a football match...

let them work to increase their efficiency and not charging unnecessary fees.

They're manipulating Nigerians high demand for cable network services.. No doubt they're the best in Africa but way too high in subscription fees.. I think we Nigerians should take to twitter and vent our anger with an hashtag.. It should trend in a day..
