On an exclusive chat with Kingsong of Ayayamedia.com took us on a tour about his family, career, label, love life and lots more.

Read and Enjoy excerpts from the interview below:

Kingsong: I guess the Name Boyflexy is not new to most people in Port Harcourt and Environs, Can we know more about you?

Yea, my real name is Kufre Friday, I live in Port Harcourt, am an artist as they already know, which I have been doing music for a while now, putting things together.

Kingsong: So many people know about the name Boyflexy, how did you come about that?

Yea, actually I was bearing Kuflex before, I was a rap artist, when I started, i was doing a rap battle with some other artist some time ago, and then they told me to change the name to Kuflexy, and I liked the name and I was bearing it for some time, then I had to remove the 'Kuf' and put 'boy' that's how I got the name Boyflexy

Kingsong: What was it like growing up, The Family and Parental support for your career?

Actually my mother likes my career so much and my siblings too, so they were always there to support and push me ahead

Kingsong: Tell us how does this music journey started?

I started with my friends, Topstar and Skylord we formed our own group and called it YBE which was Young Boys Entertainment, and I was the leader, and we agreed after making some music together we will move on, by ourselves and make it bigger, but unfortunately Skylord left us, told us we should be doing it single, so that's how we separated

Kingsong: For how long have you been on the music scene?

For 3 years now

Kingsong: So what type and style of music do you do?

Rap /hip hop

Kingsong: You have been on this music scene for long, please can you tell us the pain, gain and the challenges coming from where you wore to where you are now.

Actually the music business, when you are starting sure u know u will be losing, most times you want sleep all day and night to make sure you get what you want, such as when I was starting, I do pay clubs, events, to perform my own song and I won't get anything from anybody not even a place to sleep no matter the time they close, so that's how the music business it, most times you lose to gain

Kingsong: Recently you dropped a singles that is rocking the airwave, can you tell us about it?

Yea, I did the song late last year, which features 'Yung-v' on it, the song has been indoors due to some challenges, but I see the song is really a good song so I decided to push it more this year to make sure it goes far away

Kingsong: What is the inspiration behind this song?

Actually the song is for everybody, cause it says tell your Poverty Bye Bye, and you know poverty is a sickness, so we have to chase it away,

Kingsong: Do you think you really can meet up with you fans expectation with this singles?

Yea

Kingsong: You have received a massive support and download from fans out there, how do you intend to keep the crowd going?

Yea, I have so much to give them, many more to come

Kingsong: You released the audio of Poverty Bye Bye last year, any hope for the video?

Yea, my management is working on that, so we are all expecting it

Kingsong: When is the album dropping or any more singles coming soon?

Yea, am dropping a new single very soon, but as for the album we are working on that.

Kingsong: There is much saying that if you don’t come to Lagos you can’t make it in the music industry. Could that be right?

Music is music, it depends on how you work on it, you can make it anywhere, online if you promote it very well then, you will surely get to your destination

Kingsong: Talking about entertainment industry in Nigeria, Do you see any improvement?

Yea, I see most especially the industry in Port Harcourt & Lagos is really elevating, things are coming up

Kingsong: What do you think can be done to step up the Nigerian music industry?

The promoters, I see for the upcoming they collect a lot of money to promote why the blown they take nothing from them, actually the promoters really need to change up at least

Kingsong: The industry is filled with young and good artist which of them would you love to work with?

I see, I would love to work with Davido, because his good and well talented

Kingsong: Are you signed to any management deal?

Yea, I'm signed to OJ Entertainment

Kingsong: Who is your mentor and why him/ her?

Davido is my mentor, I like him cause of how he does his own thing, not proud, well behaved, self controlled and i just like the guy

Kingsong: How do you intend to change lives with your kind of music?

Just my own way, my music is for everybody, it will change lives, those that want to listen to it will sure move with it

Kingsong: Every artist, especially cute ones like you as a guy, how do you cope with your female artist and fans?

Just normal, same as I work with the male ones that's how I work with the female ones

Kingsong: As a Artiste your presence at social event is usually something a lot of people take note of, How do you describe your fashion?

Just a normal fashion, go, do my thing and live the place

Kingsong: Would you call yourself a Role Model?

What more can I say, yea

Kingsong: Your Most Embarrassing and Best moment?

Best moment, when hanging out with my label mates maybe at the studio or, when having an event to showcase, embarrassing moment when disappointed on a particular thing

Kingsong: So how has the year 2014 been for your career?

2014 was good, because it was not that hard for me, because I had to fix some things, so it wasn't too hard for me

Kingsong: What should we expect from you in the year 2015?

More singles, perhaps and a video too

Kingsong: Who Will you like to make a Shout Out To?

First of all I want to make a big shout out to Jah that blessed me; secondly shout to OJ ENTERTAINMENT and big shout out to my MANAGER God bless you all… Stay focused!!

Kingsong: Any Last words for the Fans out there?

Yea, I wanna say this to the upcoming artist too, keep doing what you are doing, don’t feel as if you’re lost or loosing just keep moving a day will change your story, jah will bless visit you one day, blessed!
