The management of Lagos state polytechnic has announced the 23rd convocation ceremony which would be convocating 7,022 students from its part time and Full time session. The Ceremony will hold today at the main campus in Ikorodu, Lagos.

On a speech to Newsmen, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Abioye Lawal disclosed that the students have been trained in various entrepreneurial skills, computer knowledge and are ready to face all the challenges of life.

Abioye whose tenure as the College's rector will end on June 1 this year has been able to transform the polytechnic into a world class institution, with the various academic upgrading and structural development, courtesy of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund and the Lagos state Government.

Also present at the press briefing
were the special adviser to the Governor on education Otunba Fatai Olukoga, chief registrar of the Institute, Princess Olufunke Ige; Deputy registrar, Information and public relations, Mr Olarenwaju Kuye, amongst others.

The Lagos state governor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola is expected to show up at the event as he will be sending forth the students into the labour market.
