I am forced to wonder if the song or the singer determines the genre of a song.

What makes a song gospel or secular? Is it the song (the message) or the singer?

That song is not gospel.. The mere fact that someone calls God in his song doesn't make it gospel.. Kanye West for example has songs in which he mentioned God and Jesus but we all know he is a bad guy, at least judging from the other lines of the song

I know women of faith are gospel artists.. The gospel artistes in Nigeria have failed God. We have just very few that sing to uplift the soul and draw people closer to God. The best they do is to be thanking God for prosperity in their song, there is hardly any evangelical message

What is a song? Simply, words set to music.

I don't know this song, but what does the lyrics say? If its not 'biblical', then its not spiritual in the Christian sense, and so should not be for a gathering of Christians. This is not about having a few Christian words in a song.

So, basically the words of a song determine what class or belongs, whether spiritual or secular.

Of course, a secular singer can sing spiritual songs which does not make him a spiritual person.

Note that I have limited the discourse to just secular and spiritual in terms germain to Christians.

Its so easy for people to expect Christians to accept anything, and term it intolerance when it doesn't happen. While the same people would not accept things Christian in some circles. Or would it be accepted to sing church songs at a night club? Whoever does that would be derided terribly.

The song is for all religion. he only mention God in d song. he didnt mention Jesus or mohammed or Budha or Amadioha or Sango etc. And God is equally seen as Almighty in all religion. The only people that d song is not meant for is ATHEIST.

Gospel music is a music genre in Christian music. A gospel is an account describing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. Gospel talks about the good news we're told/commanded to spread. While I won't want to talk about Bello's spiritual life, it's crystal clear that d boy sings to entertain and not to spread d word.

Don't the sung has emergy the nation but for the pastor to raise that issue. It mean God has lead him to see it has secular song. The song is inspirational and there's nothing bad singing it in a church.

R.Kelly's song "Storm is Over" is sung in churches too. It is just an inspirational song.

God gave Korede the gift to sing and he has used it to praise him so what is the issue here. Is she expecting Korede to praise the devil?
