Sewenmee: No you can not work with a visiting visa. If they get ANY hint that you intend to work then your vias application will be rejected. If your only intention in getting this visa is to work or hussle then you woud be better saving your money. |

US is full of illegal immigrants with no visa whatsoever, and they work all over the place... But if you are getting a visit visa from USA, it is not likely they will grant it unless by luck... Because they go by the fact of what livley hood and connections you have to Nigeria... If you dont have something going in Nigeria that makes it better for you to work in Nigeria and be able to reasonably afford to travel for holiday in USA, then you will not be granted the visa so easy... Even if you have family there,it will not be easy to get unless you have a decent living in Nigeria to afford a casual visit to Nigeria... The kind of work you will find illegally is not that great, so if that work is better than what you have in Nigeria, they will not grant you the visa to visit, because you have no compelling factors to make you return to Nigeria... Although, try anyway, because luck and divine intervention are a possibility... |

Good day and Happy New Month I'm currently residing in Nigeria and a Nigerian citizen as well, I'm at the verge of being offered a job at the United States but my potential employer is asking that I get a temporary I-551 stamp on my Nigerian passport or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine readable immigrant visa. Attached with this mail is the document sent to me by my potential employer with what is required of me encircled. Please can anyone guide me on how to go about this and what are the requirements needed for me to attain this status. Thank you so much as I look forward to prompt and favourable response. |
