South Africa Arrests Over Xenophobic Attacks In Durban by omonnakoda: 4:09pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32249853 South African police have arrested 17 people and opened murder cases after attacks on foreign nationals in Durban. The violence comes in the wake of alleged comments by the Zulu king telling migrants to go home - although the he says he was mistranslated. But Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba has called on traditional leaders to stop making remarks that "could result in a loss of life". At least 62 people died in xenophobic attacks that swept the country in 2008. 'Ticking time bomb' Following the alleged comments by King Goodwill Zwelithini at the end of March, 250 people have been attacked, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and foreign-owned shops have been looted in the port city of Durban. More than 1,000 mainly African migrants have fled their homes, some going to police stations and other are being housed in tents on a sports field. |

Me I sha know without Ibos, Lagos will not develop. Look at the important fields of interest they are well known for. Prostitution, selling of fake video game discs, fake cds and dvds, fake drugs, peddling of hard drugs, piracy, selling of gala on the highway, selling of okrika clothing items, selling fake vehicle spare parts, importing substandard china goods, importing and exporting aba made clones etc. This activities are very vital to the economical success of Lagos. We cannot do without them They are very vital to us . Pls oba Akiolu, don't kill them for us. We also love their girls with their flat bald heads, moustache, yam legs, and hairy limbs 1 Like |
