The Independent National Electoral Commision(INEC) in Bauchi state has declared, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the winner of the governorship election. He clinched a total of 654 934 votes to beat the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate, Mohammed Awwal Jatau who garnered 282 650 voted.
