I will always respect Jona for that singular act. In 2011 election when Jona defeated Buhari he did not conced defeat. All he could say was "I will make Nigeria ungovernable for him" That's the different between a true leader and a "I must lead" set of people. #IwillRepJona4life 1 Like |

Having read through many reactions on this particular thread, it becomes very obvious that we have more barbaric than modern, inasane than sane, senile than sensitive, haters than lovers of our nation, and so on and so forth on this forum. None of them seems to acknowledge the very price president GEJ has paid for us to be together in peace today. The statemanship, sportsmanship, courage, etc, President Goodluck Jonathan has displayed is what the president elect, General Buhari can never exhibit, in his life time. Yet most of you seem to still utter rubbish against him. May the God of peace, forgive all of you. Till tomorrow, my Jonathan is a better human specie than your Buhari. You claim President Jonathan didn't have a choice. What a statement studded in ignorance, laced with lack of information, propelled from a bias, prejudiced and wicked heart. This is a sitting president, one of the most powerful presidents in the world that we are talking about. Yet, a couple of years earlier, a certificateless cattle rearer, and retired and tired dictator lost the elections but couldn't call, congratulate, let alone concede or even wish the President or nigeria well. And because he lacks the sterling character traits so richly inherent in President Jonathan, he couldn't admit he was beaten at the polls; because too, that he saw his ascendancy to that position as a birth right he shed tears, this led to the wanton destruction of lives and properties. Since then, Nigeria has not been the same. And may none of you have any family member that has a heart like Goodluck Jonathan's. I'm now convinced to believe that what most people display here is religious and ethnic based. It's time we went our separate ways! 5 Likes |

Why you conceded defeat? Answer: You lost. We've become so used to the status quo that when someone does what they are supposed to do, they are lauded as heros. The fact that people are now comparing him to Mandela is tragically funny. One man spent decades in prison & then upon his release he became president and forgave his oppressors. He spent the rest of his days as an ambassador for peace. The other lost an election and conceded defeat. 3 Likes |

Why are people making it look like he has done what no one has never done b4 Literally, was he supposed to reject defeat even when the whole world could see that he lost despite dashing out the country's budget to solicit for votes ? ** This speech can only deceive gullible people not me ** 1 Like |
