Some months ago, February precisely, I posted a topic on the business section "A nairalander tales of her onions business" www.nairaland.com/2153616/nairalander-tales-onions-business
Now I will be sharing with everyone my tour to the farms and major markets in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina and Niger Republic.

My tour was supposed to start 13th of April (last week Monday) but due to the poor (dusty/sandy) weather condition here in the north, it was moved to 16th of April (last week Thursday).

Join me as I take you round(Pictoral Tour) the farms and major markets in the Northern Nigeria and Niger Republic. I'm willing to answer all questions.

ZAMFARA STATE

TOMATOES & PEPPER
Farming is their pride. I get my tomatoes, tatase (don't know what its called in English), Rodo (in Yoruba
language), Shombo (in Yoruba language too) all from Tsafe.

Please nairalander's, help me with the
English or botanical name of these vegetables. Thank you.

Why should she remove her phone number? She is a business woman. I feel she should even put her phone number in her signature. Its just a common business strategy.

nothing you do you still need education. Besides, not all of them will do this you know. I can't settle down somewhere like that north cos their lack of education is a disease and can kill. I know a friend who served in core north(mayb borno or bauchi) about 6years ago. There was eclipse of sun and hausa began to hunt the infidels(xstian & corpers) for letting allah angry. My padi ran to barracks Can you beat that?

true. There'll be greater marketing and demands will increase. There's more money to be made in Agriculture besides you don't get scared of "global dwindling food price" people must eat food. These donkeys cost 25k - 30k. So many trailers of donkeys going to the eastern part of Nigeria. I wonder what they use them for. I hope they dont eat donkey there? lol

we have all lived on dat for ages and nothing do us......u are probably nurtured with d same food chain and u stand to be healthier than one US citizen eating genetically modified or induced fruits and legumes......... Natural foods are the best, forget the crude processing method, its more safer than all these hyped oyinbo irradiation dat deposit myriads of heavy metals in our body,say for smoking, other african food processing technique like drying, mild frying, salting are still ok... no perfection any where, even in white man's land cos they all comes with negative resultant effect.......Am a food biochemisty!

No one is debating the merits of Natural food source over processed foods. The point is the MEANS of delivery. i repeat "No one is debating the merits of Natural food source over processed foods. I am repeating this because Nairalanders are fond of arguing off point. I bet that vehicle would have transported even wildlife and God knows what else before it got to the market place. Just because it is natural food does not mean one should ignore hygiene in the process of delivery.

So true, Sadauna LGA, goats and honey are very cheap in that place. I was at gembu 2 years ago, went for hols at mambilla plateau in gembu, the coldest point in Nigeria #memories

Sorry for the late response again. I had to go to my husband's land where he stored the Hide n skin in other for you to understand my explanation with pictures sir. The hide n Skin is being sold according to the weight and not the size. Its the weight that determines how much it will be when it goes through the process of cooking... One light one is N6000 and the heavy one is N7000. There are also smaller ones (in bits), as in ori malu (cow head) that starts from 400 naira to 500naira. Wheres your location sir? I have some samples in my office in lagos.
