In your husband's SOP, ensure you explain the sudden change in plan. That is, why your husband and the children now wish to travel with you.

Your husband's home tie will now be his parents, your parents, his siblings, landed property and his professional associations (if applicable).

Building on folla's recommendation, I suggest that you gather all necessary documents and apply after three months. This approach tends to be more beneficial than applying after just one or two months. In cases where my clients have sufficient funds, I typically advise them to apply at the same time.

Do you received message when you first submitted thier passport? If yes I will say you should give them a little time because I was thinking maybe they didn't write their email correctly or they didn't see it well.

Same thing happened to me. I submitted my passport via DHL , I didn’t get any confirmation that they have received it. After one week, I checked my portal and saw my letter of introduction. The next day I went to Vfs to collect my passport without any evidence to prove that it was ready. The person in charge asked me for the confirmation email I told him I didn’t get but that I already saw my introduction letter on my portal which means my passport has been stamped. Then he used my name and DOB to search for my passport and found it. Pls tell your wife to go there and ask them for it. It should be ready.

I saw your comment and think it may be helpful for a friend. He used his family as tie. He was issued visa for Study starting in May 2024. He's thinking of applying sowp for spouse and sp for kids. Is this advisable or it's better he lands first. Course duration is one year

They have the option to apply now or at a later time. What the IRCC representatives primarily seek is a consistency with your original intent, and if there are any changes, they'll want to know the reasons. If you can effectively communicate "a compelling love story", the application for your spouse and children will also likely be approved, provided they fulfill the other necessary criteria.

You can apply before it expires but if u can be patient a little wait for her to get an extension reason is that if you apply now they will grant you visa until the date her current visa expires and will extend it only when her new application is approved so u see the choice is yours

Not too early, just that it's advisable to travel a month to the start of the program.

Also, it is advisable for them to apply together or for the wife to apply first?

If you have the required POF and a good love story, i would say both should apply as the same time.

If the wife decides to apply first and she gets her study visa approved, can the husband apply for SOWP immediately while the wife is still in Nigeria?

Yes, with a good reason why you did not apply initially.
