Hello guys. I said I should find this thread to encourage anyone whose application might be taking a while (because some will be rapid, some will be normal, and some will take a while).

Our first application submitted October last year with an upfront medicals was refused in January. So we reapplied on March 1st, and since then it has been a long wait. Medical was passed July 15. Today PPR and BVL.

That was at least 30wks, so don't lose hope. But glory be to God, it ended in praise last last.

But also, have read so many testimonies about people applying same time with wife, child and husband and being granted. But SOWP usually takes longer than study permit.

Guys advise me am about to apply for my study permit along with my 1 yr old son. My husband said if I can’t apply with my son I can’t go. Please wat is the success rate for study permit with accompanying dependent. I intend to apply next week

That won't affect your visa approval negatively, once you are able to show financial sufficiency. Also, it is going to be a visit visa for your son, so, it shouldn't delay your application processing time either. Moreover, it is logical that a 1 year old child would need to be with his mother.

1) after Biometrics, how long does it take to get the process done
2) should I wait til I am asked to do medicals or I can do upfront? If upfront is to be done, how do I go abt it
3) application submitted by my spouse in CA yesterday. She is a citizen by birth, will this process still take long?
4) after submission of application, how long will it take to be invited for biometrics

1st is it the SOWP you applied for If yes the processing time the last time I checked was 26weeks,I haven't checked recently.
I did upfront medical,some people preference to wait,its all about choice.
One of my brothers and guru on this forum game me an advice," I should take 1,000mg chill pill morning and night lol. It helped me tru this LONGGGGG wait. Welcome bro! Ask questions we are happy u r here.
