''New Vehicles Given To Me Is A Gesture In Consonance With The Culture In Government Circles'' -Gov.Elect Chief Samuel Ortom.

The Gov Elect has responded to concerns and misinterpretations on the 8 SUVs given to him and his deputy and their wives by the out going governor, please read his explanation below.
The attention of the Benue State Governor-elect, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, has been drawn to concerns raised by major stakeholders and members of the public about vehicles purportedly "given" to him by the Benue State Governor, Dr Gabriel Suswam as a birthday present yesterday.Chief Dr Ortom expressed appreciation for the concern which he interpreted rightly that the people who gave him the mandate were watching with keen interest and vigilance in order to ensure that it was judiciously utilized.

i see very insignificant or no change coming to Benue state,after-all Sam Ortom was Suswam's right hand man and candidate before Terhemen Tarzor was imposed on Him which led to Ortoms defection to APC.... Still Suswam and His favorite boy.

Just another dummy who rode on the coat tails of buhari and other change agents.
I hope the party has mechanism to rectify this fatal flaw in some of their politicians

Most Nigerians hate the truth. What is change? Change of party name or change of leader?

The real change should be change of the system. Dr Ortom was in the PDP until about 2 months when he defected to APC because he was denied PDP gubernatorial ticket.

Someone even mentioned his name among the one of the perpetrators of corruption in that state.

I really can't tell of the much talked about change until I see one because it seems the only person that may not be so much stained with corruption in APC is Buhari.

Ortom

This explanation by Ortom isn't a good sign. The 'culture' in government circles? Isn't it the 'culture' in government circles to pay civil servants their salaries? Has Suswan done this?

Our system is still broken. It is the duty of Nigerian lawmakers to check the nonsense that Ortom has articulated up here. Unfortunately that will not happen for a long, long time. Nigerians are still not holding their leaders accountable with the means at their disposal.

Our institutions are still very weak and voters are still unaware of their rights and how the system should work.

Our road is still very long.
