Dear Nuhu,

I was shocked about the claim in court by your counsel that you feared for your life and that you are looking for a job.

How can you fear for your life? As a devout Muslim you know you cannot die before the appointed time and you cannot add a day to your life. I am also not sure your enemies want to kill you. They have already stripped you naked in the marketplace by telling everybody that you only harass the thieves that are Obasanjo’s enemies, sack you and even leak the secret during your graduation at Kuru that you are sick, of cos you are sick if not why will you have served Nigeria with such vigor. It takes only a madman to go after powerful thieves. In my village nobody kills madmen so I can tell you that you can leave your village nobody is after you, don’t think anybody was deceived by the decoy of the rumour that you have traveled out, we all know you are in Adamawa.

Oga Nuhu, you are a lawyer so you know you can not look for work since you are still in court challenging your dismissal……Don’t mind the minister that said you will never come back, unless he has seen the judgement of the case you have not pleaded in court or he is saying the ‘rule of law’s’ government might not obey the court. He is out of point. He has forgotten nobody was expecting Obasanjo/Atiku’s new love affair, so you too might suddenly become a sought after bride.

You have other options, you too can visit Ibori and Co at home with Farida and apologize that what should they have expected from a short young man like you, or if your father in law can get you money to buy a house in Abuja, he can still get you money to do business, links for contract or a job.

You can also to write your story…it will be the No1 bestseller in this country and will be at least six volumes. I can’t wait for the volume on Tinubu and also the one on Odili.

In case you need a publisher talk to me.

I remain your only friend

Regards

again, ribadu did not show up in court on the 29th of january, 2009 because he was too affraid of being assassinated inside the court room. what a bush-boy, a thief and a coward, that prefers things to be "do as i say and not as i do". any topic on this criminal on nairaland should be immediately deleted. he doesn't deserve any acknowledgement from the great citizens of nigeria.

Boss,
u see how we will progress in nigeria. el ruffai citted studies as his reason for not honouring efcc's invitation and ribadu is citting fear of his life as reason for not coming to court. so who are those ones that they drag like common thieves to court? they are not citizens and they do not have reasons?
all these dramas are writen in otah farms and the actors are really playing according to the scripts.
Ibb refused to honour oputa panel for security reasons and till date nothing happened. tell me what will happen to alams if he had for one day told ribadu he was not going to court because of security reasons.
WHICH WAY NIGERIA? ribadu is showing how intelligent he is but in all, he is the real criminal.

FACT: If Ribadu or El-Rufai comes out today to face all these unanswered questions, one thing is for sure, Former IG, Sunday Ehindero and many other thieves would be arrested immediately. Hence, there is a good reason why these 2 fruit-cakes are busy shading away from being exposed.

The name of this strategy is called Waiting and Hoping.
1. They are killing time hoping that something bad would happen to President Yar'Adua.
2. They are hiding and hoping that President Yar'Adua would step down soon.
3. They are making up excuses and hoping that the 4yrs term would end soon.
4. They are buying time while their messengers are busy running around Abuja begging and doing whatever it takes to  persuade few big-wigs to step in.

I believe the next court day is scheduled to take place in March this year. Let us all hope for the best.

Guess no matter how you try u can't pls everybody. If u are too sweat the world will leak u down and if you are too bitter the world will spit you out. Really which of Nigerian leader as being in between. Ribadu worked we said he was partial, he should be crucified, he was selective, etc. Here comes Waziri, the next thing we say is that she is not performing, like Ex- Governor Igbinideon paid peanuts all in the name of plea bargain.

Anyway is he who wears the shoes that know were it pinches (if you were ribadu and have xperienced failed assissination attempt and all sort of threat on his life) and the poor guy asked for security in other to appear in court and does not get it. What will you do? appear in court just to pls some BLOODY Nigerians in exchange of your life!!

Even our able president Yaradua when he was interviewed and asked y can't your wife donate a kidney he said " the problems of Nigeria is already killing me do you want to kill my wife too so that we both die and nobody take cares of our children" that's MR PRESIDENT not to talk of Ribadu

Naija the reasons y we don't grow is because we keep on rubishing people as if we really know what is happening apart from media and if our personal life was better

God Bless Nigeria!!!

Nuzo,

I believe Ribadu was too good for Nigeria, We are too corrupt to apprecate him

We re not ready for him yet,
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by Ekwere(m): 8:05am On Feb 04, 2009
I am really sorry for this country, here we are fighting corruption to the teeth and some people somewhere are trying to pull Ribadu down just because he fought corruption though in his later days he was selective.

Those of us in Nairaland attacking this man negatively are the culprits of corruption-419ers and whatever. Can't we for once as the youths of this country stand up to support this man and what has this so called Waziri or what is that her ,done when she became the EFCC boss.

I am at a loss and do not know what to do,imagine the other thread not mentioning Nigeria among the first 5 developed countries in Africa and it is the truth simply because corruption has eaten deep to the root of this country and would this be the way to fight this disease?
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by shawn123: 8:36am On Feb 04, 2009
@ Ayoola22 you are so right!!!
At lease Ribadu did not arrest any innocent Nigerian, everybody he arrested was curropt selective or not selective!!

i wonder why people are saying that ribadu was selective, did you expect him to persecute all the criminals at once(or did he persecute innocent people?).even the great edgar hoover of the fbi did not persecute everybody, he did his part and left the rest(the mafia) for his succesors who did not persecute him unlike some people. if u people are looking for a saint to bring justice even jesus christ would pass and becos of ur love for corruption you will not notice but condemn him. otukpo why u dey spoil our name nah! abeg change dat name na only u dey bare town name for dis forum, abeg cahange that name sad

God Bless Nigeria!!!

Dipsyn,
what is corruption? who and who are involved in corruption here in nigeria?  how many tiers of govt does nigeria have and which of them is head and which of them is the last and where is the war on corruption surposed to start from?

it is was and is still obvious that pdp was the govt in power and election is the number 1 issue when it comes to corruption in nigeria so can u in ur knowledge tell us how ribadu fought that section of nigeria. 99.999% elections under obj were rigged and nobdoy till date is answering questions on that. Chris uba made an open confession of rigging the elections in anambra state and the only punishment melted out to him was promoting to the board of trustees of pdp. inec machines were found in adedibu's house before april polls and obj asked oyo youths to emulate the political life of adedibu.

tell me in earnst who or what you take the following names to be in  nigeria; tony annenih, bode george, borriashade, fani kayode, andy uba, iyabo obasanjo and what did ribadu call them in his time of war against corruption?

what do u think about all the revolked contracts and oil well allocations during obj's regime by the new govt? what do u think about the fct madness over the shares and use of govt lands and houses in abuja by el rufai.

please how many of the ribadu's victims gave their conditions for showing up in the court? tell me who is after ribadu and why is it not possible for them to go after him where ever he is?

tell me what happened to the case of atiku and obj in which ribadu found atiku guilty while obj was set free? do u still remember that atiku swore not to go down alone if he will go down? do u know that nobody went down till date?

in you evaluation of this war on corruption, do u think corruption was high or low in the eight years of obj? please make ur refferences.

if there was any declaration of wealth by obj before taking the seat of presient in 1999, how do u relate it to his present wealth?

what was the rationale behind third term? what is the rtionale behind making himself the sole qualified candidate for the post of board of trustee chairman pdp?

if bode george, borrishade, fani kayode etc are standing trials and are still alive, why will ribadu and el rufai be afriad of their lives?

Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by superboi(m): 10:53am On Feb 04, 2009
muza u meant to ba an intelligent guy grin. okay name one person that would have done a better job than ribadu
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by Muza(m): 10:59am On Feb 04, 2009
I dnt know anyone that would have done a better jod by name,
but i know in a country of >140m ppl, theres sm1 who would have done a better job.

And Ribadu is much better than the corrupt waziri, but still i shouldnt keep quiet knowin that he wined and dined with the corrupt, randy thief OBJ and his cronies.
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by superboi(m): 11:07am On Feb 04, 2009
muza i think we set a precendence in the fight against corruption. but it is a battle that you have to get dirty when fighting in. do you think he would have more effective than justice akanbi(a man i respect) if he did not dine with obj?
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by Muza(m): 11:30am On Feb 04, 2009
But u must agree with me that sm of Ribadu's methods are unconventional in a democratic setting,
like pronouncing ppl guilty on the pages of newspapers,

Also u would agree with me that given the various revelation from the various probes,OBJ never intended to fight corruption,
EFCC was just a witch hunting tool that was used to bully "disloyal" and "radical" politicians.
U might now say that all the ppl caught are corrupt, wat of Obj was he not corrupt?,so he had not moral right to be the one controlling EFCC.
Kalu was corrupt,so when he was being "harassed" by EFCC,he petitioned EFCC on the corrupt activities of OBJ.
Wat did Ribadu do? nothin!
so if u catch kalu or saminu turaki u hav to also catch OBj,Aleiro,Kure. . .etc
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by superboi(m): 11:41am On Feb 04, 2009
muza i must not agree grin or are u obasanjo!!!! grin . but if u study crime fighter across the globe the most seccessful ones are the unconventional ones even bruce lee grin
Re: An Open Letter To Nuhu Ribadu by chidichris(m): 12:56pm On Feb 04, 2009
there will be no end to this arguement if we continue this way. the simplest and unanswered question is, did the so called war against corrution increase or decrease corruption in the 8 years of obj?
please explain your position with refferences.
to me the war succeessfully promoted corruption with the following points.
1. the major criminals during the obj's regime were his close friends and i will mention such names as adedibu, chris uba, andy uba, bode george, borrishade, tony annenih, atiku and odili to mention but a few. among the above mentioned persons, none was seen as corrupt by ribadu and as such they all walked tall till the end of obj's tenure.
2. looking at the states of our roads given the amount mentioned by obj as spent on contracts on these roads couple with the fact that no one till date answering questions on them, am afraid the war on corruption did not get to that sector.
3. power supply which was major part of the campeign promises of obj and the billions of dollars claimed by the best president of our time, ribadu shld have done more on that sector.
4. election - bush the much criticised american president was able to conduct an outstanding election/transition at the end of his tenure but what did we get from obj even with the ribadu screening of candidates? the worst and unimaginable movie in the name of selection.
5. oil sector - nigeria was lucky under obj with oil boom and high price of oil which was capable of changing the ecenomy but the end product was a renewed ottah farm and a bell university.
6. out of office - clinton, bush, mandela and other great politicians will give chance to their various countries after a long day at presidential villa but that was not our case. obj skillfully changed the constitution of pdp to make him the only being living or dead to be the chairman pdp board of trustees and thereby occupy a position through which he decides who does what and when. with the feable man in aso rock, obj indirectly pilots the affairs of the nation after failing in his third term bid.
7. ex-governors - the then gov of imo state in the person of achike udenwa was the first to endorse the third term agenda and today he is a minister of the federal republic of nigeria while the likes of orji uzo kalu who oposed the third term agenda paid the price of experiencing the wrath of ribadu who made us to understand that kalu is the most prominent criminal nigeria has ever seen. among the two outstanding states viz lagos and rivers, ribadu did not find them guilty of anything. odili was told by obj to drop his president ambition or face efcc.

i hope with these few points of mine, i have been able to convince and not to confuse u nairalanders that ribadu's war increased corruption under obj who himself represents corruption.
