Some people say that free Oil-money is the real cause of corruption in Nigeria, but I still want to express my reservation and point out some terrible characteristics being exhibited in the country today.
1: indiscriminate dumping of refuse and erection of illegal structures on public infrastructure. This practice is the norm in Nigeria and I have not been able to draw a draw connecting this poignant act with the oil largess.

Corruption in my own terms mean
'to take undue advantage of your position to exert a self satisfying agenda often to the detriment of the general society.'

Haven said this, dumping of refuse in open drainages and what ever open spaces within and outside the territory of Nigeria including air and land spaces is the most grievous of all facets of corruption in the country because the effects of such practice is Gigantic.

EBOLA: we are all aware of the devastating effect of EVD but what many seems not be aware of, is that the prevalence of the disease rest on the dirty habits of the society. Poor sanitation and public hygiene was and still is the major contribution to this disaster.

The incident in one of the south-western state of Nigeria were it is recorded that people were dying of unknown causes. Even when the resident allocate blame to some Non-existing god, or the officials record of poisoning from either herbicides or local gin, but it all boils down to poor public sanitation and hygiene because when proper methods are applied in handling our waste and refuses there would be no issues of poising coming in contact with our edibles.

Cholera, malaria, typhoid etc accounts for majority of infant and adult deaths in Nigeria and all these diseases are connected with the very nauseous habit of nonchalance towards public health safety. You see people cleaning up their homes and the resultant dirt finding its place in the street.
Unclean drains housing the deadly mosquitoes are a result of our general penchant for public corruption towards the environment and in effect our collective health.

Finally, hundreds of thousand are incapacitated, or dead as a result of this environment and health related corruption. The incoming Buhari Government should pay keen attention to addressing this wanton abuse of our environment and our general health.
There is no greater risk poised by corruption than the degradation of our environment and our collective lives.
