Commendable Military Rescue Efforts In Sambisa Forest Yesterday And The Unanswer by missbehave247(m): 8:19am On May 01, 2015
My heart was full of joy yesterday and this morning when I learnt that the Nigerian military rescued about 200 girls, women and children from the Sambisa forest.

In as much as one is very happy with this good development which is a plus for our battle against insurgency, it is pertinent to ask at this stage some salient questions because the Yoruba people have a saying that "Gbogbo wa ko le suun, ki a ko ori si ibi kan" meaning that its impossible for us all to think in one direction because variety is the spice of life,

Therefore, my questions are:
1. Did this sambisa forest just spring up yesterday bearing in mind that sambisa forest zone has been a recurring decimal in the war against insurgency?

2. Is this sambisa forest within the geographicalterritory of Nigeria?

3. Is this the first time the military are combing this sambisa forest in the war against insurgency?

4. If the answer to 3 is yes, why did it take this long to invade the forest knowing fully well that we have always been assured by the authorities that they are on top of the situation?

5. Were the abductees rescued just like that without resistance from Boko haram and its attendant casualties?

6. Are we prosecuting this war without intelligence inputs?

7. What is the situation in the Sambisa forest now because it shows by the recent result that something is missing in the war against insurgency?

Honestly, this war against insurgency and unfolding developments leaves much to be desired and is a signpost that truly, our country is sick.

One only hopes and prays that the incoming government will carry out a holistic appraisal of this war against insurgency because when we make a movement forward, it leaves behind, many unanswered questions. Infact, too many missing
links, we don't even have a data of the number of those who have been killed, maimed, abducted, etc.

Only a sincere and honest government can get to the root of this boko haram scourge and its my wish and prayer that the Almighty God will strengthen the incoming government to do that.

Thanks.
