from Afipko to Enugu is 1 hour and from Afipko to Lagos is 10 hours.....why did you chose the long journey?

Enugu, Kano and Lagos is the 3 no-man's-land in Nigeria in 1960s...... why is that Enugu is still less than 2 million population and has no economic or social impact to Nigeria?
