"banana Leaves" Premieres At The Pan African Film Festival by ohmsworld: 7:15pm On Feb 04, 2009
Chicago, IL February 4, 2009 -- Banana Leaves, a feature film by Nigerian Producer, Director, Lanre Sarumi has been shortlisted to play at the 17th Pan African Film Festival.
Banana leaves was shot on location in Chicago and stars Michael Blackson, "The African King of comedy" ("Next Friday" Ice cube production) in his first role in a horror drama.

Banana leaves is about 3 young adults with a taste for drugs. When a friend of theirs dies as a result of a drug overdose, they decide to quit using dangerous drugs,  and instead use safe ones! The search for a safe drug leads them to "Banana leaves". Unfortunately, banana leaves leads to bizarre hallucinations and they are stuck in a world of ghosts and unknown spirits.

Pan African Film Festival is one of the oldest and largest Black film festival in the United States. The festival brings together African inspired films to an 11-day festival in Los Angeles, California.
