MANCHESTER UNITED have told Real Madrid it
will cost the Spanish giants £45million to land
Old Trafford keeper David de Gea.

De Gea go the other way
But they have made it clear any further
discussions between the two clubs will also
involve United’s pursuit of Madrid’s world-record
£86m signing Gareth Bale – one which is looking
increasingly likely to happen in the summer.
De Gea, United’s player of the season, is torn
between a return to Spain and accepting a
hugely-improved £200,000-a-week contract to
stay at Old Trafford.
The club preferably wants an answer from Madrid
over De Gea by the end of7 this month – and if he
leaves, then United know they will be in a
stronger position to negotiate a deal for Bale.
