One anxiousness keep raising palpitating question on my young lip "What zone does Kwara state belong? " oh my! people will nutmeg me with history, they belong to the West, have you forgotten "Afunja" while some argued that it belong to the North but tentatively both answers are correct! Politically, when the Northerners seriously need a vote, they claimed "Kwara state" belong to the North but when they have it and it is time for political appointment, they(Northerns) tell them they belong to west. A case study is the fierce battle for the seat of the senate president between Bukola saraki, Akume and Lawan, the North east categorically told bukola saraki that he belong to the south and that the south already have the seat of the Vice president, and probably the speaker. Now the paradox, is Bukola saraki even a yoruba or hausa? the question is NO! his generation was simply a migrate from Mali but the mixture between them and the yoruba's in kwara made them to bear the name of the west. If bukola saraki representing kwara was a Northerner before the election and now a southerner after the election, who's he? which zone can we categorize 'Kwara state'? i think it is high kwarians wake up from slumber, it is high time you chose to belong or remain among! If the Hausa's are claiming dormitory, i will like to ask them this question, how many hausa's as ever become the president of Nigeria? How can a Fulani become an Emir in Kano? as a real hausa ever become an emir in kano before? Are the minority Fulani more superior to the Hausa? Are the Hausa still under the slavery of the fulani since inception? If Gov. kwankwasho can be boasting of using almajiris against the south, then is it for a fulani or an Hausa? How many prominent Hausa elite do we have in Nigeria if not Fulani? Nigeria is another name for a modern mediocrity.
