1. Job Title: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
2. GRADE: GSA5
3. NUMBER OF VACANT POSTS: 1
4. SUPERVISOR: Finance & Admin. Officer
5. Duty Station: Lagos, Nigeria
6. DIRECTORATE: Directorate of Programming, Budgeting, Finance and Accounting.
Qualification and Experience Requirement
• A minimum of Higher National Diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or other directly related discipline.
Work Experience
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible practical experience (two of which must nave been spent in a supervisory position) in Accounting, Finance and budgeting in a major Government, International or public sector organization.
OTHER RELEVANT SKILLS
• Financial management and analytical skills in a Donor funded environment;
• Good interpersonal, report writing and communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills with practical knowledge of and experience in accounting software.
Language Requirement
• Proficiency in one of the African Union working languages is a requirement;
• Knowledge of one or more of the other AU working languages would be an added advantage. .
Age Requirement
Candidates must preferably be between 30 and 45 years old.
