Timipre Sylva, former Bayelsa State governor, has stated that it is only Otuoke, president Goodluck Jonathan's home country that will welcome him because he betrayed and disappointed the entire Niger-Deltans. Sylva alleged, Niger Delta people lost trust in Jonathan because he didn't do anything for the development of the region, adding that the region is in a worse condition today than it had ever been in history. He added that Bayelsa State is “the least developed industrially and commercially” of all the 36 states in Nigeria and that president Jonathan will get a hero’s welcome only in his small tiny village, Otuoke.
