For unlawfully suspending indefinitely and terminating his employment, a former employee of First Bank Nigeria Limited, Mr. Tennyson Ikpi has sued the bank for N100 billion. It was gathered that, Mr. Tennyson Ikpi, because of his vast experience and track record in the banking sector, received an offer letter from the First Bank of Nigeria, in August 2012, prompting him to resign his appointment as a branch manager of Keystone bank.

According to the suit, filed by Festus Keyamo Chambers on behalf of its client, Mr. Ikpi received a letter of suspension from First Bank of Nigeria Ltd on ground of an unfounded allegation against him on the pages of some Newspapers by an individual who had a personal acrimony with him over a court case. First Bank of Nigeria terminated his employment, a decision he strongly believes violates his constitutional right to fair hearing.

Hahahaa.. Clever moves, since the bank doesn't want to make him a millionaire he will force her to make himself a billionaire..
Its good that he put the sum in billions because if by luck he won the case, they will probably settle in millions rather than thousands

Possibly he wants to use the money to float his own bank. I believe he will be able to meet the capitalization requirement

They is no amount too big compare to someones image or reputation he has built over the years or opportunities that may sleep off his hands as a result of the bank action. Who knows, this act by this bank can cause him the opportunity of becoming the president of this country some day. But our concern should be whether the matter was investigated by the bank b/4 taking such an action.

He's just building castle in the air. When it comes to employment in the private sector of our economy, employer can fire his or her employee for just or no reason at all. Thats why banks sack their employees at will these days. He's no case.

Do he want to close or distress first bank, he may have a case and will likely win but sure he will not be awarded that much.
