DYSLEXIA

Dyslexia or developmental reading disorder is characterized by difficulty with learning to read and with accurate comprehension despite normal or above normal; intelligence.
According to the neurological definition, it is a learning disability in which a person finds it difficult to read and write.
These difficulties includes;
• Difficulty with phonology i.e interpretation of sounds and words
• Auditory short term memory
• Difficulty with language skills and verbal comprehension

Dyslexics are usually confused by a variety of alphabets such as;
,b,p,d.t,f.t ;
Dyslexia is the most common learning difficulty and most recognized reading disorder. Dyslexics are often very intelligent. Skillful and inventive.
A practical explanation of dyslexia can be seen in the movie produced and directed by Indian award winning actor, producer and director ‘Aamir Khan’ ‘’like stars on earth’’. The main character called Ishan or inu suffered from dyslexia. This difficulty was identified by his fine arts teacher who informed his parents about it. with the help of his teacher ishan was able to overcome this problem through constant practice of similar words and letters. Ishan went on to win a mass painting competition organized for the entire school.

 Difficulty knowing left from right or directions
 Being easily distracted by background noise
