INTEGRATED FORMATION EVALUATION AND SEISMIC INTERPRETATION

COURSE OVERVIEW:
This three-day course covers the fundamentals of log analysis, Formation evaluation and seismic interpretation. On completion of the course, participants should be able to:

Understand key steps in subsurface interpretation and integration workflow
Integrate core data, ditch cuttings, DST reports and production information with well logs and seismic data
Interpret seismic volume, develop geologic framework and perform assessment of hydrocarbon reservoirs.
CONTENT:

Fundamentals of logging tools and logging types
Quick-look well log analysis techniques
Determination of FE parameters such as Fluid type, Saturation, Pay thickness and porosity.
Data integration: logs, core, seismic and production data.
Overview of seismic acquisition and processing
2D, 3D and 4D seismic interpretation techniques
Synthetic seismograms, seismic-well tie and Time-Depth conversion
Mapping: Time, Depth, Property maps etc.
Hydrocarbon volumetric assessment
Case study with a software demo
