Something that involve human life is not "petty misunderstanding"...NOT WHEN TWO HAUSAS AND ONE IBOMAN are now confirmed dead!

Here is another version of the story! Don't think about Hausa per say and persons dead if any where not mentioned;

by Abiodun Nejo

…soldiers deployed, police sue for peace

Three persons were feared killed in the violence that broke out between drivers’ union and butchers in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, yesterday.

Several others, who were injured in the fracas, were rushed to undisclosed hospitals in the state capital where they are receiving treatment.

Hoodlums had a field day as they vandalised and looted offices, shops and market stalls while the violence lasted.

Traders and residents scampered for safety as the opposing parties in the violence wielded guns, machetes, swords and other dangerous weapons.

No fewer than five vehicles belonging to the drivers were vandalized, just as banks and other shops in the area could not open for business.

Trouble started yesterday morning, when some commercial drivers were said to have accused the butchers of harbouring fraudsters duping unsuspecting residents in the state capital. This followed the alleged refusal of the butchers to surrender a man alleged to have duped a woman said to be the wife of one of the drivers.

Sources traced the genesis of the crisis to the activities of the fraudsters who duped a woman, who happened to be a driver’s wife, of N36,000 on Tuesday at the Old Garage area of the capital city.

Unconfirmed sources said the woman was also raped by the culprits in the process.

Following the incidence, members of the driver’s union were said to have gone to the spot noted as hideout of the fraudsters at the Old Garage area to demand for the person responsible.

The refusal of the butchers to pinpoint the culprit led to hostilities between the drivers and the butchers, as dangerous weapons were freely used by both sides.

It took the intervention of the new Police Commissioner, who have just assumed duties in the state on Tuesday, Mr Etop John James, who led scores of both regular and mobile policemen to the trouble spots before the mob retreated.

The police boss, while addressing the warring factions at Old Garage and Atikankan, expressed regrets over the incidence and vowed to restore normalcy in no time.

James said he had just resumed in Ado-Ekiti on the orders of the IGP over the spate of kidnapping and other heinous crimes in the state.

However, the spokesman for the police in the state, Mr Alberto Adeyemi, said only four persons sustained injuries in the crisis and were being attended to at the Police Clinic at Okesa in Ado Ekiti.

Go and ask about your history as people in the hands of your Hausa/Fulani masters; they killed over 300 military officers and later killed millions of your fellow Igbos. They proudly turned all your Heroes to useless house boys: Nnamdi Azikiwe and Alex Ekwueme.

The only war u ever fought in your entire existence on earth was lost and the ugly mofo-Ojukwu that took you and senseless progenitors to war took to his heels with woman wrapper

Gob does not bless a place that has been cursed and forsaken.

Parasites of Nigeria state

Can you stand on your own as pure Igbo like Yorubas who are proud of themselves? No.

South South people usually come out as proudly Niger deltans without attaching themselves to you God forsaken people

Who are the shameless immigrants in Nigeria? Igbos

Who are the freaking losers- Igbos

Yorubas ll always be ahead of you guys either u like it or not. You ll continue to run to South West to survive as people just like your fellow brothers around d world.

Ekiti is at it again. What started as a clash between the market women and road side hawkers yesterday 19th May is metamorphosing into something bloody. The market women yesterday attacked the road side hawkers and the resulting clash left a lot of people wounded with looting of shops and "road side stands".

In another development a wife of one of the NURTW members was duped of 35,000Naira and assaulted. The drivers retaliated by invading "Atikankan" area destroying properties and beating up the renown 419 boys in the arena.Along the way.according to eye witnesses, some properties belonging to the Hausas were also torched. This obviously drew the ire of the innocent traders and it became a free for all fight. The hausa's shops in Sabo area, opp.Mary Immaculate were looted and burnt. Before long, it suddenly became the Hausas Versus the Yorubas with the Hausas drawing Knives and Cutlasses while the Yorubas were seen carrying bottles and sticks.Three people were rumoured to have been killed.

As at the time of writing this report for nairaland, the security men have arrived in good numbers. The road is deserted,no car or motor cycle can move freely.Pockets of people are however sighted in front of houses far from where the security people are. The main market is deserted, the traders are packing their valuables out of the area because they anticipate a reprisal attack in the night from the Hausas.
