some of dem like u mentioned are overaged including iheanacho but even if they add to their age it is not like before u- 20 dat will add up to 10yrs to 15yrs

How did you reach that conclusion?

Iheanacho has been in the system from under 13. He played for NFF under 15 so we have seen him grow.

He passed all MRI scans, what else do you want?

For the first time in forever we are fielding players with just the right age.Lets be proud of them and pray they bring back the cup.I can't wait to see the likes of Iheanacho and Eze do their famous goal celebrations "Yes yes yes yes yes yes!
Infact when the perform as expected, they should be graduated into the senior team.If you are with me, hit the like button for their triumphant.

Nigerians do the seemingly impossible, even with their age.

The stage is set for the twentieth edition of the Fifa U20 World Cup with all the participating teams submitting their final list for the championship.

With an average age of just 18.9 years, Nigeria are, for the first time ever, taking the youngest panel of players to the championship in which they have twice contested the final.

Owing to their exploits at the African Youth Championship, where they emerged as champions, coach Manu Garba has kept faith in majority of the players who won the World U17 championship in UAE – with Kelechi Iheanacho, Musa Muhammed and goal machine Taiwo Awoniyi leading the pack.

Enyimba’s Kingsley Sokari is their oldest player at 20 years and one day, while Zaharaddeen Bello is Nigeria’s youngest representative, at 17 years five months.

Germany, on the other hand, have the oldest squad, with an average age of 19.9 years, just ahead of Portugal, Ukraine and Korea DPR.

Bayern Leverkusen’s 19-year old forward Julian Brandt is the European’s youngest player in a group containing a total of 19 players who are 20 or over.

Senegal’s Moussa Wague, 16 years seven months, is the youngest of all 504 players at the competition. Having been born in October 1998, he is just a month older than Ghana’s Kingsley Fobi. At the other end of the scale, Argentina’s 20 years five months forward Alejandro Romero is the oldest player in the competition.http://www.punchng.com/news/u20-wc-nigeria-to-field-the-youngest-squad/

i understand, but i will prefer a fully fit Isaac Success to Taiwo Awoniyi.

please, don't compare U17 to U20. This is like comparing Senior World Cup to U23. The terrain is tougher as the age grade gets higher. This same Awoniyi won Top Scorer at the Super Six, outplaying grown men. When last did Success score? What makes you think he's in as good a form as he was 2 years ago? In football, even 3 months can change a player. On CURRENT FORM Awoniyi will have Isaac watching him from the bench

I was about to reply you, and then i saw her response to you which is in line with what i wanted to say.

In young age grade football, the rate of change of player performance can be very astounding, and some will outgrow the others.

In japan 93, under 17 tourney, a tournament that had Kanu Nwakwo, Wilson oruma was the biggest star, the goal poacher, and actually won the golden ball of the tourney, but three years after, Nigerians knew the real between Nwakwo Kanu and Wilson Oruma. Kanus impact in Atlanta 96 and subsequent years can not be forgotten.

and 3 years after the injury what have we seen of him? Samson siasia under 23 coach had to borrow awoniyi in a make or break away match in Zambia to qualify for all Africa games. match ended 0-0 in Nigeria, it took awoniyis brace to secure a 2-1 away victory for qualification.
have you seen the better side of success.
