Sumec please. But buy from accredited sources. And make sure the brand name is crested all over the generator.

Morning house, please I first noticed that when I put on my gen ,after sometime, the current will drop. But later yesterday night, the light went off completely but the gen was running fine. Please what could be wrong?

The quality of fuel we buy also determines how long it would last on usage,I change the filling station I usually buy fuel ,5litrs of fuel doesn't usually last more than 4 hours for me but to my surprise after 6 hours I turned off the gen and I still have some fuel left in the tank..


Try a new petrol station today and come back with a testimony.

I initially thought it was fuel but there was still fuel inside. I decided to top the oil. in doing that I noticed oil was dripping from a part of the generator which I will upload the pictures. What's the solution? Oil is leaking from that black like box below the choke. been trying to upload pictures but it isn't going through.

Instead to confirm if truly there is still fuel upset he fuel guage on the tank or bend it slightly to the tap side if sound change then you need fuel top up. Don't do that topup oil again. Reduce the oil, open the black box to check if air filter is soaked with oil. If soaked use fuel to soak/remove oil and dry it, then fix back. Also check the spark plug if soaked with oil...

Am not a prof but if I were to make a decision based on all the criteria you listed, I'll go for the firman.it's important for you to know that placing that gen close to your window is hazardous as the exhaust fumes can kill. (unless you intend closing your windows while using your Generator)

I personally use sumec 1800. It's not silent. Especially if you are keeping it lose to ur window. But it will get the job done. Fuel lasts 5hrs but after i changed my capacitor to 24uf, my fuel starts to last 7 hrs .

Please, a repairer told me to buy half engine to this generator that it will function optimally, that the generator is a good one. Please, do anyone has an idea of how much the half engine cost?

Your repairer will make gain if he goes to buy the half engine.

The same repairer will make gain if he is the one to install the engine.

He will be waiting for you after 6 months when the half engines starts giving you issues.

My advice - if the engine is not Honda or Yamaha, save money to buy a new generating set. If you don't, your gen mechanic will be the most dialled contact on your phone.

Greetings profs. I'm on the verge of getting a generator set that will power my apartment conveniently. As well as fuel efficient too with little or no noise. I was making my research online when i stumbled on this forum and find it thoughtful to seek opinions here. Items to be powered are my electronics, a TV, hisense fridge (215DR) 100w, micro wave 700w, two ceiling fans, washing machine 335w, and a blender 600W. Pls guard me on which rating to go for, product and pocket friendly.
