It is so disheartening to see that no Nigerian plays in a top tier team, except Mikel Obi of Chelsea, who of course is a bench warmer. Nigerian football is in terrible decline. No world class attacker since the days of Yekini, Aiyegbeni, Kanu and Martins, no world class mid-fielder since the days of Okocha, Finidi etc, and certainly no world class defender sinceTaribo West and Uche Okafor hanged their boots. Something must be done to reverse this ugly trend.
