Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to leave
Real Madrid, and sees himself playing
elsewhere next season, according to
Sport.
Sport being a pro-Barcelona paper,
the source of this story of course has
to be considered when evaluating how
seriously it can be taken, but the
paper do provide some interesting
reasons behind Ronaldo’s supposed
discontent at the Casa Blanca.

They claim that the Ballon D’Or holder
has been left disillusioned by the
sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, which has
served to distance him even further
from president Florentino Perez.

Ronaldo had implicitly challenged
Perez with a tweet calling for Ancelotti
to be kept on as manager, and
following the callous sacking of the
man who won La Decima for Madrid,
Ronaldo is now ready to leave, Sport
claim.

They believe Ronaldo isn’t convinced
by incoming manager Rafa Benitez
either, nor is he happy with Perez’s
unconditional backing of flailing
Gareth Bale.

Sport claim that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge
Mendes is now actively seeking offers,
and should a sizable one be tabled,
both Mendes and Ronaldo are
confident that Madrid would be
obliged to sell, despite the fact that
he has a contract until 2018.
