Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR (born 17 December 1942) is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces

When he took office on 29 May 2015 -during which the abbreviation of his name was symbolically changed from 'GMB' (General Muhammadu Buhari) to 'PMB' (President Muhammadu Buhari)- marked the first time in Nigeria's history that an incumbent elected President peacefully transferred power to an elected leader of the opposition.

Buhari has stated that he takes responsibility for whatever happened under his watch during his military rule, saying that he cannot change the past. He also describes himself as a "converted democrat".[9]

Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, GCFR, BNER, GCON (born 20 November 1957)[1] is a Nigerian politician and the President of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015. He re-contested and lost the recently concluded Presidential election, upon which he conceded defeat in the competitive election, the first sitting Nigerian president to do so.[2] Prior to his role as President, he served as Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007 and as Vice-President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010.

Jonathan's term as President of Nigeria ended on 29 May 2015, he handed over to President Elect Muhammadu Buhari.
