Good day people. I noticed that my Honda DC still continues writing Oil Service Life -200% even after changing its oil. I noticed it came down from 75% to the point it got to 0%. I changed the oil when it was at 25%.

Please what does this means?

Read your manual on how to reset it and ensure you use the recommended oil

Means how far your oil is suppose to go before changing it.

For most newer cars with the proper synthetic blend it is set from factory about 5000 miles so when you change your oil you reset and it will read 100% after driving 1000 miles it will read 80% at 2500 miles 50% 4000 miles 20% 5000 miles 0% and your car will start beeping every time you start saying maintenance required.

Maintenance required every 5000 miles does not just mean oil change but scheduled service which might be oil change,inspect brakes and fluids, rotate tires, inspect belts and hose, lube chassis(this part is why your honda leg always tear because balljoints and tie rods are supposed to be inspected and greased in all cars) for Honda transmission service is every 20,000 miles while some other manufacturers are 50,000 miles

state your Honda model year and i will send u the procedure to reset the oil maintenance light .

mine is and older 2010 ford and it is 6000 miles interval and I want to believe a car using 5w20 is good for 5k miles.

That thing they put into their cars in Nigeria is not recommended by any manufacturer on the market now, in fact only motor bikes still use 20w50
