A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the senator-elect for Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Shehu Sani, has said it is unconstitutional to address Aisha Buhari as "Her excellency" and to squander state resources on her as the office of the First Lady is unconstitutional. The senator elect warned President Muhammadu Buhari against repeating the mistake made by former President Goodluck Jonathan, whose wife lived lavishly while the citizens wasted away.

Sani while speaking at a meeting with the executives of the Kaduna Branch of the Federecion Internationale De Agbogadas said, that president Buhari must set up an economic team comprising academicians and experts and not business men and women that would use the opportunity to better their own business.
