Valid points.

I started programming way back in 2006, when there were no frameworks to play with and I fell in love with java, C#, and scripting languages like PHP and Perl.

Although my line of work is no longer in core programming, I have never had any issue with reading up on any framework because of my solid background in programming.

Also, to add to your points, developers should learn how to work in a team early, large projects often means many developers .

please I have interest on programming. i studied marketing in The university. I am conversant with PC and devices ( No Phobia ) for technology. I want to start Learning how to programme and develop softwares on my own due to the speed the world is moving with ICT i need it in my discipline. I dont know anything about programming language ( ie am a zero). How do I start? should i enroll in a programming class in one of the institutions here. I want someone to tell me if i can be able to get there from zero knowledge about programming language. How do i start to make it easy and effective on me. I tried reading E-books but to a point it started sounding too technical for me. Am not a mathematician or an engineer but i have the interest please tell me how do i start and carry on. If you were like me before. tell me what your experience was like....... please somebody i want to improve on my career.

My brother. I started out like you, but today I make php programs for offline and online solutions. I spent hours nd nights studying and practicing. I failed so much at my attempts, but I kept strong nd refused to quit. My advise: if u wanna go into web dev, start reading books on html. Virtually, spend hours on w3schools. Goodluck.

the world is going digital. no one can deny the importance of I.T in all aspects of life. i am an engineering graduate who just suddenly had a strong passion for i.c.t. currently am studying html at w3schools.com. for you to become a pro, u have to marry your computer, like i mean, hav sex with it, romance it so hard, make it your girlfriend, and it will surprise you grin

Please can you shed more light on this business side?

1: The info tech world is a very wide and profitable one,but we only admire the few (non-IT) folks who become billionaires from small apps and programs they sell.

2: Ever notice how very few of these billionaires are actual hardcore coders? This is because rather than concentrate on little fixes and problems, they build solutions (Technology built in a wholesome innovative way) that can be commercialized on a large-scale. in the end, expert coders now work for these smart kids.

3: Growing into coding has its rich benefits to self-esteem, intelligence in problem-solving and general geek props. but coders need to grow out of their deep love for coding and translate those skills into something that can be of financial benefit to them. It pains me when i see 40-50 year old coders- still writing code and macros fixing problems rather than building something they can commercialize
