barcanista:You obviously missed the part where it was stated that able bodied men were condemned SOLELY based on the identification of ONE informant. This topic is pensive and we should be sober and reflect on the revelations instead of chorusing its collateral damage. If we continue with this kind of mentality, then we are soon going to be at the receiving end of this ''collateral damage''. 1 Like |

When has investigation turned to conviction? Amnesty international only asked Nigerian government to investigate abuses committed under there purview. It is high time laws enforcers be made to face atrocities committed in the course of discharging there duties. Innocent Nigerians have died in the hands of Police and militaries. We need to know how to separate grains from shafts. Advise to Nigerian government:- 1, Build more prisons with basic amenities like pipe borne water, power, health centers and sport centers. 2, Educate Nigerian police and military on best and human way to handle people. Fellow Nigerians needs to understand that you need not be a victim before you know that this is going on. 1 Like |

sunsewa: He looked gay too. Code Words: Nigeria Violated Humans rights = Is Obama's America's way of telling you that Nigeria will not get American + Western weapons to fight terrorism (this wouldn't be such a bad deal if it wasn't for the fact that Buhari unlike Johnathan seems to have gotten into power with the Support of the West) Buhari will displease his US Masters if he does nothing and if he acts against the Military generals he will displease the intelligent Nigerians that are watching this thing closely. He'll be blamed and accused of playing vendetta politics. The military could depose him....I'm getting ahead of myself. In any case, Nigeria is in grave danger. Solution for when things gets to how bad they could get is to join partnership with China and Parkistan to form a block. Isis in West Africa = is Bokoharams' way of telling you that they're going to recruit all those jealous people from West Africa to come kill Nigerians. And is not as people fear, a warning to other West African nations that they may soon be terrorized. Although Bokoharm will terrorize the rest of West Africa if Nigeria dose suppress them efficiently because Bokoharam would then want Western Intervention in Nigeria since the West would eagerly and conveniently blame Nigeria for whatever Bkoharam does in West Africa. 2 Likes |

Amnesty International have been very silent on George W Bush, Tony Blair, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz etc, who ordered the slaughter of millions of Iraqis based on an elaborate pack of lies and deception over Sadaam Hussein's phantom weapons of mass destruction. Their focus on Nigeria reeks of double standards. 1 Like |

[quote author=fun4 post=34397437]This is the indictment Amnesty International put on the shoulders of serving and former service chiefs: "Amnesty International has called on the Federal Government to commence a “prompt, independent and effective investigation” of former and serving service chiefs for their responsibility in war crimes during the fight against Boko Haram in the North-East." The organisation said that these crimes included the killing of 8,000 persons, who were “murdered, starved, suffocated and tortured to death.” ...................................................................... And these are the reactions that Amnesty International, AI got from Nigerians. • @Chidi Amnesty international are bunch of fools. How many boko haram elements did they identify for committing war crimes. Well, if that is the case, Gowon, Ty danjuma, IBB , obasanjo and the nigerian army should be held for genocide against the ibos. gbl01: Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought—and paid for—the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. Sorry I had to quote you for future reference. Lovely piece that I'll love to read all day. Now to the topic. It is clear that there is a deliberate attempt to reduce the world's population. Some people feel threatened of their existence in the near future hence the reason the encourage terrorist groups. I don't know why we can't be allowed to live peacefully and then when the future arrives, it'll take care of it self. If these people feel threatened by the existence of their kind, do they have to wipe out other people just to procure a better future for their generations? If they feel so threatened, why can't they relocate to Mars and try as much as they can (with their technological advancement) to make it inhabitable? It is clear they support terrorism hence the reason they never requested for Obj's probe when Obj wiped out a community using the same Nigerian Army. We know their tactics and it's only the power drunk set that will play puppet to these enemies of the third world countries. 1 Like 1 Share |

See, if we wanted to wade deep into blue water conspiracy then we could do worst than suggest this is payback time for all those general under Johnathan who not only dared to turn to china for weapons but contemplated the orbit of a Russia that is challenging Obama’s administration right now in Ukraine in a way not seen since the cold war. Moreover Nigeria was making these moves in a capacity not clearly none-aligned. This bogus Amnesty Human rights report would then be a way of helping Buhari clear house so he could place pro American generals in office. At least, ones not seen as tainted by former policies. You saw how petty America got in the Fifa issue were many see an anti Russia agenda 2 Likes |

Amnesty International has a point. What I want is that the case should be investigated and the organization to provide concrete evidence to support their claim the people killed, imprisoned and starved aren't Boko Haram members. If the Nigerian army carried out their actions indiscriminately they should be culpable for the crime according to the law. They are supposed to be trained people meant to fight according to the right rules that govern the military not to go out and start killing people through extra judicial system. That is completely unacceptable. The human rights organization must present their case properly and the Nigerian army as well. This is not about making up statements and throwing false figures around the world headlines. That is absolute absurd to say the least. I want to see this issue put forward and addressed from a civilized perspective. 1 Like |
