Reasons Osinbajo Was Locked Out Of President Buhari’s Security Meeting by shevchenko(m): 2:15pm On Jun 05, 2015 |
Indications emerged on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 that Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was ‘locked out’ of President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with the National Security Adviser on the orders of the President. A top Government source who pleaded anonymity disclosed to The Reports Afrique that Vice- President Osinbajo was refused ‘security clearance’ to attend the meeting as a result of security concerns by the Commander-in-Chief allegedly over what he described as a “very sensitive meeting”. According to the source, it was the thinking of the President that it was too early in the day to bring Vice-President Osinbajo into the President’s first security briefing. The June 1 meeting with NSA Sambo Dasuki, which lasted for hours, was part of what sources called “debriefing process” and was done behind closed doors in the absence of the Vice-President. Dasuki remained with the president till after 4pm when he left the Defence House. Buhari and Vice-President Osinbajo are yet to move into the Presidential Villa, 6 days after their inauguration. This raises dust as to the seeming distrust that exist between the president and his vice president or what secret is good enough to be known by the Vice and which is not. http://reportsafrique.com/2015/06/reasons-osinbajo-was-locked-out-of-president-buharis-security-meeting/ |

Osinbajo (USA's chosen one) is only member of APC transition committee that is seen in public interacting with the press and news media since interaction. Something tells me we may soon see him promoted to President Osinbajo. G7 Summit approaching on Sunday, something tells me we would soon learn why Buhari and his team could not attend. |

ZeezaRapture: This makes one wonder. Maybe he was sent to Anambra as a strategy to prevent him from being present @ d meeting. |

specco: As in eh. Of all people to send on such an errand, it had to be d VP . When more serious issues were being tackled. I just hope Osibanjo was not just used as a tool 'to be discarded later' for winning the election. Cos I see him as a disciplined fellow eager n ready to work. 1 Like 1 Share |

I shall take this news, regarding the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo being locked out of National Security meeting or whatever security meeting the president had with the service chiefs, with a grain of salt. If the news has an iota of truth in it, Nigeria is down for a big trouble. A man one breath away from becoming president is excluded from any meeting pertaining to Nigerian issues indicates a serious lapse in protocol and arrogance of drunken power by screwballs from northern region of Nigeria. It is equally an over-handed indictment of the trust the northern region operatives had on Yoruba or lack thereof. This is very disturbing to say the least. 1 Like 1 Share |
