And there's no money to pay workers. When the time comes, Nigerians will realize that it is sheer stupidity that makes us attack ourselves on the internet just because we prefer one party to the other. THEY ARE ALL THIEVES AND NO THIEF IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER. APC IS there, PDP is there so who is the saint? 1 Like |

IzonOwei: No one but ourselves can save ourselves from leaders who were ordinary folks like all of us until they got into power starting as LGA Councillor. And revolution is not the key as it simply replaces one bunch of thieves with another who are usually more clever in hiding their corruption while mercilessly killing any opposition. Evolution is much better as we have witnessed since 1999 but need to increase the tempo with greater debates and increased engagement of citizens in the political & governance process. 1 Like |

No state should be owing any civil servant #1, If the governors cannot sacrifice a fraction of their security vote to pay the workers, then they need to be stoned. imagine that Osun state governor owing workers #2B while he receives #400M as security votes every month. if this man has sacrificed #200M/month since January 2015, he would have paid half of the salary owed to these suffering workers.Even if he owes #20B, that would have been taken care of since the past 4.5years he has been the governor. Giving the governors such an exobitant fund in the name of security vote is the reason they do not care for the security of the masses. Buhari and his team should do something about the secirity vote fund allocated to these inhumane and reduce it to atmost 20% of the current status. Meanwhile Osun workers and indigens should enjoy the change you voted for. 1 Like |

barcanista:It is really heart breaking when one considers the opportunity costs of these security votes. Not sure if this particular expenditure is covered under the constitution, I think the incoming NASS should do something about it. What exactly are they securing?? How many times has Kwankwaso died?? Would be reasonable to have this published on twitter and make it go viral. It is high time some attention shifted from the center to our respective states where some of the worst thefts have been going on undetected for decades. 1 Like |

omenka:For the first time since Feb 15, 2015 Omenka commented without abusing me. I hope we get better with time. The truth is that nobody is securing anything. The Governors by themselves allocate such ridiculous amount. Sadly, no section of the constitution made provision for it 2 Likes |

God will never stop blessing you if he does he will be impeached you mean some thieves stole, keep stealing our collective wealth and all we can do as losers it to fight amongst us. Blaming ourselves not the robbers and giving them more reasons to steal more by defending them with gej till 2019, sai baba etc, apc, pdp and one of them told us recently "we steal because you don't stone us" the poor masses are the problem of this country and these guys go out there create laws for only the poor to keep while they break it daily with impunity and when they are through with us check out the things they ban. Okada, keke and all other things the poor will survive on when will they ban jeeps and camry and other big motors last time at onitsha a truck belonging to one of them killed 85 of us, i know someone will ask them why they were there and when they visit ur state or area it ur roads they will block and flog silly out of u if u move anyhow the worst is that WE ACTUALLY EMPLOYED THEM with our votes do we even recall how much we stood in the sun to vote how many of them stood that long. nigerian poor have no sense. And when we get to our various places of worship they tell us pray for ur leaders we pray for them to succeed in robbing us or what we should rather curse our leaders you remember last yr when one of them refrained from saying 'AMEN' wen prayer turn to curse in one church i know even as i post this some of us will still find fault with my writeup saying am trying to stir up rebellion UnknownT: 1 Like 1 Share |
