Yesterday I saw in the news that some students in Unilag were calling on PMB to rename Aso rock after MKO Abiola, Before that, last year June 12, some group of yoruba leaders told the president it should be a national public Holiday. I also heard that Gov.Ambode declared public Holiday on the matter.
My question now is;

#1; Is this some sort of a yoruba pressure or a national issue that needs urgent address.

#2; Is the date JUNE 12 over hyped?

June 12 is a monumental date in this country. The only other date that overshadows it is Oct 1st, 1960 in terms of civilian engagements. Your topic and commentary tend to suggest that it could have been an insignificant occurrence. This is the era of Internet where information is brought close to your nearest sight of vision.
