There are many Latin phrases used by English speakers in their speeches most especially the legal luminaries. Some of these phrases are:

1.)Deja Vu: something that very few people know the true meaning.It can also be used in describing the strong feeling you get when you are in a situation and feel like you have been in the exact same situation before but in actual fact you have not.

2.)Status quo: present state/condition

3.)Modus operandi: Method of Operation

4.)Ceteris Paribus: with other things being equal

5.)De Facto: exists in actuality especially when not backed or established by law

6.)De Jure: lawful,legitimate and in accordance with the law
