Tofa (Fulani) lost to Abiola
Buhari (Fulani) lost to Obj
Buhari again lost to GEJ (as "clueless" as he was said to be) before his persistence paid off this last time.

These losses indicate that Fulanis are not politically invincible.

The SE, SS and SW need to come together, otherwise they risk letting their collective and individual destinies be truncated forever by the real clueless ones: so called northern oligarchy. I am still not able to understand why Tinubu would support a stark illiterate that Buhari is. Now he is being handed the short end of the stick. Plus, why must it be Fulani all the time?

It does not take a soothsayer 2 knw why Tinubu supported Buhari. In 2011 Tinubu supported GEJ indirectly hence he won massively in d S/W. For four yrs d S/W was in d political wilderness in Nigeria under him. Pple keep speakin of solidarity but his it not justified dat d S/W seeks 4 political salvation 4rm elsewhere. No matter hw bad dis admin will be it can't be as bad as GEJ 4 yrs of because d S/W now has a voice.

Why should the. SW, SS and SE come together, for what exactly? What collective and individual destinies is there between Yoruba and anyone else in the other zones? None! We are aligned with North for a political interest and history that predates formation of Nigeria. What history and political interest does Yoruba and Ibo share?

Also, Tafawa Balewa was not Fulani, Gowon was not Fulani, Murtala Muhammed was not Fulani, Babangida was not Fulani, Abacha was not Fulani, Abdulsalami was not Fulani...and they all came from North.

In fact, Jonathan is not the only minority that have ruled us, Gowon, Babangida, Abacha, Abdulsalami, Jonathan.

We need facts when you talk about national history and ethnic power.

Of course you will be, is there a reason why you should not be gloomy when he succeeds and rejoice when he fails? His future is paved with many more successes, wait till you see ministerial list and ambassador positions....more gloom ahead for you.

I'm sure the OP was talking about democratic, and not military regimes characterizing most of the names you listed there (all of whom by the way were goaded on by the Fulani). So you feel there is no collective destiny among the southern peoples? Well, they are all progressives trying to reach their destined ends using different approaches and seeking to burst their societal developments to the seams, but they have been held back all this while by the northern (easily the most backwards people in the world) Nigerian hegemony. If that is not a truncation of your destiny, I do not know what else is.

Goaded on by Fulani?? Babangida kicked a Fulani out of power and to you that's goaded on. OBJ killed Atiku's Presidential ambition and even kicked him out of the party and you call that goaded on.

Can you remove the years of military rule from our history? Can you say the years under military does not count in our political experience? We are using a Constitution approved by military regime, should we tear it because it was not under a democracy govt.

Gosh, how do you guys apply your academic lessons and training in mundane matters? This is bewildering!

On South and commonality, progress is not new to Yoruba race. Our history has trails of evolutiinary breakthroughs. We desire to progress along a cultural bearing that is unique and exclusive to Yoruba and its commonwealth....and that's the bearing of Oduduwa Dynasty. If you do not share in that Dynasty, if your roots cannot be traced to Ife...we share no commonality and therefore are unable to progress together.

We can share democracy....which is what we are already doing now. We belong in Nigeria with others as co travellers in a democratic experiment and we do not discriminate, choosing one above the other. From a Yoruba standpoint you all are the same and must be excluded as such. On aspect of ancestral kinship, except for Bini and Itshekiri our brotherhood lays Northward of Yoruba ancestral domain. We did not create it, nature made it so.

Can you read? I am saying that all military regimes where goaded by Fulani. Do you know the powers behind the removal of Buhari by IBB?

In other words, you prefer the North screwing you the way they are doing? See, you adore and worship them but they give no hoot about you. To them, you are non-existent and at best inconsequential. Time will tell.
