In his book, Tony Evans Speaks Out On Gambling and The Lottery, pastor/author, Tony Evans, says, "Winning the lottery is not tied to anything but a thirst for wealth. It is not tied to God's leading or plan for you. It's not even tied to your needs. So what you are doing is asking God to bless nothingness. You are asking Him to bless getting money for money's sake. That's greed, and God won't bless it." Nevertheless, like Evans, the majority of Christians the world over still insist that gambling and playing the lottery is a sin. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. If you have any questions about our flight today, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you. Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you" (Mt. 24:4). No man means no man--not your father, your mother, your spouse, your children, your friends, your co-workers, your pastor, the president, no one! The way to "take heed" is by taking heed to what the Word says. It means to weigh everything someone says about God against the backdrop of Scripture. If you live by the Berean Principle, it is not even remotely possible that you can ever be misled or incorrect about anything pertaining to God. What Does The Word Say? The easiest way to apply the Berean Principle is by asking yourself, "What does the Word say?" When anybody presents anything to you as if it is coming from God, immediately ask yourself, "What does the Word say?" Whenever you're in a situation and you don't quite know what decision you should make, ask yourself, "What does the Word say?" When you're going along in one direction in life, whether in career or relationships or whatever, and someone comes along endeavoring to persuade you to go in an altogether different direction, ask yourself, "What does the Word say?" You will always be on point if you will but simply train yourself to ask yourself, "What does the Word say?" How do we know this? Because Jesus said, "the Scripture cannot be broken" (Jn. 10:35). In other words, Scripture is always right about everything. How so? Because it is the Word of God. And the sage of Israel insisted, "There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel, against the Lord" (Prov. 21:30). Casting Lots That being true, what does the Word of the Lord actually say about the lottery? Observe: "And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions" (Jos. 18:10). The Hebrew word for "lots" here is gowral, meaning "pebbles." "And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles" (Acts 1:26). The Greek word for "lots" here is kleros, meaning "pebbles or sticks." The word "lot" is actually the root word for "lottery." So we see the patriarch, Joshua, and the apostle, Peter, engaged in some form of lottery. After praying, Joshua cast pebbles to the ground to determine the will of God in the matter of who of the children of Israel should get what plot of land. Wealth of the Sinner As it is written, "For God giveth to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner He giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God" (Ecc. 2:26). Now exactly where in this day and age is the sinner gathering and heaping up all of this wealth; wealth that he will eventually be forced to give to those that are good in the sight of God? I'll tell you where--in Nairabet, in Bet365naija, in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and the myriad of casinos and state lotteries, all over the world. That's precisely where the sinner is heaping up all of his wealth for you! The devil knows this but he doesn't want you to know this. That is why he inspires some pastors to get up in the pulpit and blab on incessantly about why Christians shouldn't have anything to do with gambling or lotteries. That's not God telling those ministers to say that, or else He would be contradicting His own Word which says, "And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just" (Prov. 13:22). Satan is the one deceiving Tony Evans and a host of other ministers into saying this things that not only does not line up with the Word of God but actually contradicts the Word. It's because the more money Christians have, the easier it will be to utilize that money as a tool to turn the world to God. It takes lots and lots of money to finance the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It also takes lots and lots of money for you to live "life, and that more abundantly" (Jn. 10:10). That's why God wants you rolling in cash. The scripture asks, "Do they not blaspheme that worthy Name by the which ye are called?" (James. 2:7). The Italian mafia blasphemes His Name! The Russian mob blasphemes His Name! Hollywood blasphemes His Name! Corporate America blasphemes His Name! Rappers, rock stars and R & B artists blaspheme His Name! They do indeed blaspheme the holy and reverend name of "the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Tit. 2:13)! That is why Jesus said, "Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive ye into everlasting habitations" (Lk. 16:9). In other words, Jesus wants you to take the intitiative to befriend wealthy sinners. Why? Because God wants to punish them for their disobedience to His Word and reward you for your obedience to His Word by transferring their wealth into your hands! Clarence Otis, Jr.--a Black man born into abject poverty--kept making friends with wealthy sinners over the years until he finally became the CEO of Darden Restaurants, Inc.--the company that owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden, The Capital Grille, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, and Seasons 52 restaurants. Shout, "Glory!" You're The Stranger! It is written in the oracle of Solomon, "A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease" (Ecc. 6:2). Think about that--there are people that God assists in becoming ridiculously rich. Then God prevents them from enjoying those riches by transferring those riches into the hands of a stranger. And who is that stranger? You! You're that stranger! For it is written, "the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just" (Prov. 13:22). That is why you must allocate a portion of your money to the lottery/betting of the state in which you live until the day you win those sinners' money! Some years ago, while watching the news, I saw a man from Texas being interviewed because he just won $10 million dollars in the state lottery. Just four years before he won the state lottery, and here he was winning it again. The anchorwoman asked him what he was going to do with that money, the first thing out of his mouth was, "Well, I'm going to give $1 million dollars of it in Tithes to my church." Did you hear that?! The man said he was going to break of a Tithe of $1 million dollars to his church! He is a classic example of why the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. God wants to transfer the sinners' wealth into your hands because He knows you're going to honor Him with a portion of that money. In Scripture, paying your Tithes and giving Offerings is called "honor." For this purpose, the richest man in history wrote, "Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase" (Prov. 3:9). Hugh Heffner is not going to honor God with his money. He'll use it to spread more magazines of nude women around the world. Jay-Z, D'banj etc etc is not going to honor God with their money. He'll use it to sell more profane records that promote violence and perversion. Afrocandy is not going to honour God with her money, She'll use it to sell more pornographic films. Wendy Williams is not going to honor God with her money. She'll use it to promote more gossip and slander of people made in the image and likeness of God. Marilyn Manson is not going to honor God with his money. He'll use it to create more demonically inspired music in honor of Satan. That is precisely why God wants you to have that wealth! As it is written, "But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth" (Deut. 8:18). One of the many ways the Creator gives you the power to get the sinners' wealth is by anointing you to outperform them in football and other sports prediction, BlackJack and Poker and Wheel of Fortune and the slot machines and various games in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and the various casinos throughout the country. That's correct--Spirit-led gambling! You could not operate in this anointing before because you had a stronghold in your mind against gambling. You were like the children of Israel who "limited the Holy One of Israel" (Ps. 78;41). Yes, when you were but a babe in Christ you were prejudiced against gambling and the lottery by the likes of Tony Evans and others like him who spend their years "desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm" (1 Tim. 1:7). These manglers of Scripture convinced you that their opinion was the Word of God. Indeed, these are they who are "ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth" (2 Tim. 3:7). NEWSFLASH: through gambling and the lottery, God wants to transfer the sinners' wealth into your hands! This is because the Father knows that you, His very own child, will honor Him with a portion of that money and help finance the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through your Tithes and Offerings so that "the Earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea" (Hab. 2:14). God is commited to the redemption of the human race from the hands of the devil (See Heb. 2:14,15). The preaching and the teaching of the Word of God bring about this redemption (See 2 Cor. 5:18,19). And money helps bring about the financing of the preaching and teaching of God's Word (See Mal. 3:10 c.f. Heb. 7: 8 ). Money, Money, Money! There's an old yiddish proverb which says, "The world stands on three things--money, money and money." Indeed! No matter what you may have heard to the contrary, you're not going to get very far in life without a certain degree of money. There's no way around it. There's no way under it. And there's no way over it. So you might as well just go ahead and accept it. The reason this is true is because money is a divine idea. God is the one who made it up, not man. And that is why the Word of God clearly says, "A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything" (Ecc. 10:19 NIV). Yes, money is the answer for everything! For your health, for your children's education, for your monthly car note, for your rent/mortgage, for your 401K plan, for your membership at the gym, for your groceries, for your utilities, for your vacations, for your everything! That's precisely why God wants you to go down to the casino or to the corner store and get those sinners' money! The African-American pastor from Columbia, South Carolina--Solomon Jackson, Jr.--walked in this revelation. That is why he went to the local gas station four months ago, played the Powerball state lottery, and won $260 million dollars! That's why you need to stop procrastinating and follow his example, and go get those sinners' money now! 2 Likes

I need 5 odds for today. Who can help let's dissect. Gambling is still better dan doing yahoo yahoo. Investing money on betting is still same like buying shares in companies. U may win or lose. Ps: i didnt read the entire epistle, so i dont know if u wrote gambling is a sin or not. |

SHALOM! It was with some dismay that I read your Post justifying Gambling for Riches. Whereas Lottery is indeed used in The House of God, it was never for redistributing Money. The Sinner Achan, whose iniquity caused the death of thirty-six fellow Israelites was exposed by Lottery. There was nothing fun about that Lottery. . EXODUS 20:17. 17. "Thou shalt not Covet thy Neighbour's House, thou shalt not Covet thy Neighbour's Wife, nor his Manservant, nor his Maidservant, nor his Ox, nor his Ass, nor Any Thing that is thy Neighbour's." If a Servant of God wants to donate his or her money to the Gambling House, that implies desiring Joint Responsibility with the Group- one becomes a partaker in the Sins of the Winners and Losers, Workers and Owners- which it becomes their job to pray over. The Servant of God should Find or Create at least at least nine other Fellowservants of God to pray over the Gambling House, and avert The Judgment of God from It. Great post, I totally agree with Tony Evans that winning the lottery or gambling in general should not be tied to God's leading or plan for us. Gambling can be a slippery slope and it's important to remember that it should never be a source of greed.
