No going back on bombing of Niger Delta creeks – Nigerian Airforce

The Nigerian Airforce has said its bombing of the suspected hideouts of militants in the creeks of Cross River State is continuous and would soon be extended to Akwa-Ibom State and other south-south states.
The creeks were yesterday bombed on the orders of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu.

The order followed frequent attacks on vessels, police stations, seafarers including market women by gunmen suspected to be pirates and militants on the Calabar waterways.

Amosu ordered deployment of the M17 gunship helicopter to survey and bomb all suspected hideouts of militants and sea robbers along the creeks of Calabar.
This was disclosed by Commander of the 207 Special Mobility Group based in Calabar, Air Commodore Charles Ohwo.
A witness said the air attack lasted over one hour.
Speaking to journalists, the commander said the exercise will be continuous.
He said they were able to bomb suspected targets in the entire creeks of Calabar waterways up to Bakassi and environs and that the raid would extend to creeks in Akwa Ibom State.
He said the exercise was planned in conjunction with the Navy, Army and police, but led by the Air Force “because of reach and air advantage. Innocent lives were not affected.

Buhari is making a huge mistake. He wants to wage a war on two battle fronts. That's military suicide. His dullardness knows no bound.

I hope that armed robbers that call themselves militants are getting the message:there is no sane country in the world that would condone bursting ofcrude oil pipelines, kidnappings and outright economic sabotage all in the name of militancy.
Genuine grievances I believe would be addressed on a community wide basis not a tiny fraction holding the nation hostage so as to line their own pockets,to the detriment of the same communities they claim to be protecting.
By the time these rogues see the govt is serious about bombing them out of the creeks,am sure they would table genuine grievances through the right channels.

Which refinery, which seaport, which industry? Y u no go ask ur leaders why does things are not there. When they were busy saying that the ibaka is not suitable for seaport, that the waterfront is not deep enough for a seaport, did you not hear? After wasting 8 years, it's now they know that ibaka is good enough for seaport. Why don't you ask your leaders why all the industries in akwa-ibom is no longer there for 8 good years? There was peakock paint, they was papermill, there was ALSCON. What happened to the airport that was supposed to be of international standard? What happened to science Park? Science Park that GEJ has completed one in otueke?
OK, how about Amakpe refinery, that by now should have been completed?

And by the way, note that those ones you're calling your brothers now, when it time, they will also victimized you. If you remember why mechanic village was shot down for over a week, I think last year, you will know what I'm talking about

your writing make sense shall. But make no mistake about it, the same will go for any side that threatens the territorial intergrity of Nigeria, be it in south, north.

And who say Sambisa have not been attacked by the military? Abi how them take rescue over 700 women? Na hand? Boko haram is loosing the war, and they know it. Hence, the suicide bombing pattern they are currently using.
And more over, the pattern of the war in North East is totally different, with the insurgents using people as shields.

you are mistaking to think that way.
ss/se has the easiest route for weapon smuggling,
and also has highest rate of heavy ammo and guns in the entire nigeria.
