Hello guys in the house, I want to build a duplex and the estimation given to me just to lay the foundation to decking level, .. take a look at the estimation and see if it's too expensive...

Note: this estimation is just to raise the building to a decking level, decking is not included yet, after they raise the building they will now give me another estimation to do the decking ..


Estimation:

Foundation level :
1) 65 bags of cement 130,000
2) cost of molding 65,000
3) Rod and workmanship 150,000
4) wood and workmanship 150,000
5) 50 bags of cement. 100,000
6) Filling cost. 400,000
7)workmanship. 250,000
TOTAL. : 1219000

Now to raise from the foundation to the decking level ( note decking is not included)

Estimation:

1)70 bags of cement. 140,000
2)cost of molding. 72,000
3)wood and workmanship 300,000
4) Rod and workmanship 300,000
5)150 bags of cement. 150,000
6)Workmanship. 250, 000

Total : 1032000


All I need now is for you guys to help me cut some expensive things they wrote there and the workmanship, so I know how much am giving to them, I have not price yet because I don't have any knowledge of how much it cost or how much for workmanship

I Believe you will have to post the plan as well. No real estimation can be made without one!

no estimate can be made without the floor plan and you need to be a bit open minded by disclosing the location of the project as this is the biggest determinant in deciding cost of workmanship

I think ur contractor is might be fair in his pricing until we see ur plan before we can determine if he is on d high side or not but #1million+ for foundation is still fair and block work from dpc to lintel for the grd floor is still okay depending on ur plan as well (950k-1.3M. ) shd sort that .

Lastly ur project location will determine if ur contractor is fair or not and the type of foundation u r having.

Note: the only thing I found out of line is #300k for wood n workmanship for the laying of block after dp level ...a lil bit high!

The bill is very okay. Except you want a Shordy job that will tell on the quality of material and workmanship.

Note: A healthy bill begets a healthy job delivery.

So, becareful of cheap labour that equals low quality job. That's my advice.
