The explosion is said to have occurred at about 4pm today, June 22, 2015 and is believed to have left many dead.

Usman Kaka, a local trader, told Sahara Reporters that 'many people have died and there are blood stains everywhere, I saw dead bodies in a police van.'

No official casualty figure has been released but officials on the scene have said that the death toll is expected to be high
