In a Democracy, there's freedom of speech and freedom of speech is valued. But i haven't heard of one single Democracy, in any part of the world, where incitement to hatred and violence is tolerated or indeed not against the law. I am assuming that in Nigeria,which is actually the freest Nation in the world, there's freedom of speech but incitement to hatred,violence and bigotry is also against the law in most states like in the rest of the world. If this is the case then the Radio Station should be closed down. The state government would be remiss in its duties if it does not act to shut down the station.


The Radio station could preach Igbo supremacy until the world ends, no one should care, but incitement to hatred and violence should be against the law. That people would take to the streets and commit violence if the station is closed is not an option.


On a personal note, the acts attributed to the station places the Igbos as instigators of violence and war not victims of Nigeria. Posterity will not forget.
