In an appearance at a court during his federal
sentencing hearing on Wednesday, Boston
Marathon Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev,
apologized to the victims and survivors of who
were murdered by a terrorist attack plotted by
him and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
“I would like to now apologize to the victims and
the survivors,” Tsarnaev told the Judge and court
witnesses.
“I am sorry for the lives I have taken, for the
suffering I have caused, and for the terrible
damage I have done.”
He also acknowledged Ramadan and expressed
his wish that Allah help the victims and their
families.
“I pray to Allah to bestow his mercy on those
affected in the bombing and their families. I pray
for your healing.”
After his statements, he sat down and the Judge
sentenced him to “the penalty of death by
execution.”
Tsarnaev with the help of his older brother set off
two bombs at the finish line of the Boston
Marathon on April 15, 2013.
In the Boston Bombing terrorist attack, two
women and an 8-year-old boy were killed and
more than 260 more were injured. 17 people
were left as amputees. A fourth person, a police
officer, was killed during the search for the
Tsarnaevs.
