You can prevent split-end and hair breakage by giving your hair a short beak to allow it regain its natural vitality.

After a period of stlying, weave extensions and colouring, your hair needs a short break to catch its breath. A short break of between 3 days every 2 weeks or a week break monthly if your wear hair weave will allow your hair to repair itself with natural sebum oil produced by the body. Sebum is the nourishing oil produced by the scalp cells to keep hair hydrated.

If you’ve used hair extensions, twists or colouring, your hair may require some special treatment to gain meaningful repairs. Age, work stress or hormonal change may also limit the body release of enough sebum oil to rebuild the weak fibre. The short break create an opportunity to rejuvenate and reinforce hair to avoid permanent damage.

Start the treatment with 'mild' nourishing shampoo. Do not ignore shampooing as some would advise. Shampoo will help to clear dirts, soften hair fibre, remove residue and greasy oil build-up in hair over time, to create healthy hair growing scalp. Mild here means non-harsh, SLS sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphate provides tough cleansing which may hurt the cuticle this time, so ensure you use non-sulfate nourishing shampoo. Argan Deluxe Elixir Nourishing Shampoo is a good sulfate free shampoo in this way. See it here http://www.de-utte.com/argan-sulfate-free-shampoo

Next, apply conditioner while the hair is damp. Apply it slightly away from your scalp working through with your fingers to the tips. Do not use comb this time. It is good to know also that all conditioners will cause slight build-up in hair, especially natural or home remedy. Avoid spraying or applying conditioner directly onto your scalp or you end up with build-up.

Watch your hair grow healthy to serve you better!
