house itself is an investment if it is commercial. I.e. you build and let it out. people pay you every year and after sometime, you may sell ur property and move forward. if for instance you buy land at iyana ipaja @ N2Million you can sell for N10M in another 5years and move to abule egba to buy another land for N2M and build with N2.5M making N4.5M you have made 5.5million in 5years. or you collect your rent for life. Property investment in Capital intensive. then compare that with any investment that will give u that in 5 years. |

investments before housing o, don't be decieved a house is not an investment, its just an asset except you are constructing a commercial apartments in places like on the island. |

It depends. It is private house or Commercial? If it's Private, then I think u must have had a solid Investment somewhere for you yo have thought of building a Private home else, IT'S NOT WISE. But if it's for commercial reason, places like PH, UYO, LAGOS, ABUJA, would be a nice bargain. If YOU can erect a building in any of these Cities, then I think there is no WISER investment than this.
